A rather unusual bit of news this afternoon, as thanks to a heads up by a good friend of ours, we've been told it might be worth checking out this downloadable and online playable game mash up of Dragowfall. What makes this game worth checking out you ask? Well according to the website, Dragowfall is a mashup of 3 games from the 80's, in the style of Intellivision, all glued together to form a more intense chivalry-themed adventurous experience! To coincide with this news, we've got some gifs from the game, as well as some further information about Shadowfax, Pitfall! and Dragonfire that have been mashed together.

Super Spectrum World - Play through lots of classic Spectrum games as Miner Willy! (Jet Set Willy)
Now here's a game I think most of our readers would have played or heard of throughout the years, is Jet Set Willy. A platform game originally written by Matthew Smith and published by Software Projects for many home computers such as the ZX Spectrum in 1984. It star'd none other than Miner Willy who is tasked by the housekeeper Maria with the cleaning up of items left around the house after a big party. So why are we mentioning that classic game? Well today's news is something special, as thanks to a heads up via our twitter page, we have come across a rather interesting online game(s) called 'Super Spectrum World' by Stephen Smith!
Hamurabi - A classic resource management sim ported online!
Atlantis and Dragonfire weren't the only games to be ported this month, as earlier today Chris contacted us to let us know that a port of 'Hamurabi' had been released and playable online via the Adventuron itch.io page. This game according to the main write up, is a port of the classic 1968 resource management sim by Doug Dyment and is adapted from the 1973 BASIC version port by David Ahl (printed in BASIC Computer Games, 1973).
Bomberman International Promo - Explosive online gameplay now with Windows 10 support
When I was growing up there was a game I used to love playing with friends, whereby your task was to drop bombs and either blow up other enemies or your very best friend(s) in a maze like game screen. That game was Bomberman also known as Dynablaster, which was actually first released way back in 1983 by Hudson Soft and then published by Konami, and later released as Online Bomberman for the PC in which players could compete against each other via the internet instead of being in the same room. This latest news however is in relation to that PC version, as after years in the making, Bomberman International Online has been updated to fully support Windows 10!
Days of War - Driven Arts WW2 shooter released via Steam Early Access!
Driven Arts has announced that the Kickstarter success of Days of War is now available via Steam Early Access. This is a fast paced online multiplayer game that aims to revive the style of classic WW2 shooters, where your combat skills and knowledge of the map will be put to the test. Alone in the Pico - Alone in the Dark gets an impressive Pico-8 demake!
The above screenshot might not look like much in the grand scheme of things, but this is actually a rather impressive Pico-8 demake of the hit classic ' Alone in the Dark ' which was first released for the PC by Infogrames way back in 1992. An original game that not only appeared in the Guinness World Records as the first ever 3D survival horror game in the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition 2008 edition, but it was also the first of two games to use polygonal characters over pre-rendered backgrounds. An all time classic indeed, but the news of today is a developer by the name of NuSan has done a small demake for the Pico-8, and it is now called ' Alone in the Pico '.
Mistigri - A Bubble Bobble inspired game that's damn good fun!
We haven't done any decent free online playable games for awhile, so lets throw Benjamin Soulé's ' Mistigri ' into the mix, which is inspired by that brilliant arcade game ' Bubble Bobble '. Developed for the PICO-8 but available to play online in your PC browser, Mistigri is a 1 to 2 player arcade game, with 22 levels of ball throwing, enemy picking and fruit grabbing fun!
Kingdom of Loot - 16bit Online JRPG that's free to play, is now in Early Access
I don't usually mention free to play games that are online, as usually they are pretty poor and contain a lot of micro transactions, but when it comes to 'Kingdom of Loot' by EpicBeyond Studios I'll happily make an exception. This is a 16bit JRPG inspired by many of the classics, as not only does it have lovely SNES style art work with a lot of effort put into it, but this game has full online multiplayer action and according to the developers has a big potential list of features that may draw in the crowds.
Saboteur Online - Play the original classic online remade by Clive Townsend!
Somebody hold me as I'm in complete shock, as Clive Townsend, the original developer behind that hit game ' Saboteur ' which was published by Durell Software in 1984 for many 8-bit systems, has created an enhanced ZX Spectrum version of the hit classic, with an extended map, gameplay, graphics, and plot that already adds to an incredible game, but all completely playable online!

Will's Epic in the Timeless Zone - Jet Set Willy style remake is now available
Way back in the early 80's Matthew Smith released Jet Set Willy, the sequel to Manic Miner for the ZX Spectrum and ported to most other home computers by the publisher Software Projects. Playing as Jet Set Willy in a flip-screen platform game you needed to move from room to room in his mansion collecting objects from a previous party otherwise Maria the house keeper wouldn't let you back in to his bedroom. But today in 2015 a new Jet Set Willy style game titled 'Will's Epic in the Timeless Zone', developed by Will is now available completely free to play in your browser!
