But it's with great pleasure to show the latest dev blog about the standalone from the developer himself. The question on all our lips is, WHEN WILL IT BE RELEASED????

WarZ - Punks Busted : A Markee Dragon interview
About a week a go, the anti-cheat software Punkbuster was added to WarZ. This was to combat the terrible cheating state that this Zombie online Apocalypse game was in. In this video MarkeeDragon does a roundtable interview regarding Punkbuster and WarZ. But don't get too excited, as the cheats are back, and once again it's getting worse by the fact that the payed cheating software, can effectively bypass Punkbuster. In the last two nights our entire clan have been esp'd and aimbotted by such people as SYNTAAAGAMING and THE PROFESSOR. It really is a massive shame because of the first three days of Punkbuster, it was the best fun I ever had in WarZ.

So far nearly everyone has heard of DayZ, the all time great online Zombie apocalypse mod by Mr Rocket. A mod in which you play with lots of other players in a vast infected landscape, while trying to survive with friend or foe or the deadly zombies themselves. It's a game that I myself have spent many many hours just trying to live in a dangerous wilderness. But it's with great pleasure to show you all the best bits from E3 of the new DayZ standalone. Will this be the Zombie game we've all been waiting for? Will it be far better than the original DayZ mod? We will just have to wait and see!

Hot News for WarZ! - New anti cheat : Punkbuster
It has been a long time coming, but WarZ the online survival zombie apocalypse game will at some point have a proper anti-cheat system, which has been seriously lacking thus far. The cheating has put many people off from the game, including myself. Even with all it's updates including new graphics, voip, it mattered not if people were cheating. But today we've got the news annoucement most of us have been waiting for. OP Productions LLC has contracted with Even Balance, Inc. to integrate our PunkBuster™ Anti-Cheat software into the survival mmo Zombie Game known as The War Z, developed by Hammerpoint Interactive.
Javatari - A multiplayer Atari 2600 emulator written in pure Java.
If you're old enough like me, you may well remember the Atari 2600, which was an 8-bit game console released in September 1977 by Atari, Inc. It had a fantastic list of games for it's time and one such game I fondly remember was California Games. I mean come on, who did not like the skateboarding or bike riding down the mountainside, such great fun. Well now you can relive those days with Javatari, which is a multiplayer Atari2600 emulator written in pure java. It looks very well made and there is also a two player option. However you will need the roms, which are searchable but we wont provide!
The Stomping Land - Survival with Dinosaurs
The Stomping Land is a new survival based multiplayer game that contains Dinosaurs and Hunters. Some have called this the DayZ Dinosaur game, however i'd fit this title more towards being a survival Jurassic Park online. The Stomping Land has already smashed it's Kickstarter goal and considering it's being developed by just three people (Alex, Nick and Lee Fisk) it looks seriously impressive. In this game you'll come across a beautiful online world and it's in this world you must survive by any means possible. As a hunter you have the ability to scavenge for food by killing dinosaurs with bow and arrow or by laying traps, but be careful as if the T-REX smells the kill, he will be after you as well. There's even more to this game such as camp creation and dealing with other players, but as you know, players can't be trusted!

Survival Games - 24 Player Online FPS (Kickstarter)
What do you get, if you cross The Hunger Games with a computer game? You end up with this, Survival Games, developed by GazidoGaming which is a 24 Player Online Survival FPS. The main goal, to be the last one standing and this must be done by any means possible. You can either team up with other players (for the time being) or go all out solo against the odds. Just like in Hunger Games, you need to scavenge for, not just supplies, but to be able to hunt and gather for food. You can even craft basic weapons, because when it comes to the other players, hand to hand combat isn't going to get you very far. This is looking like it could be a lot of fun, think of it as a massive deathmatch in a wide open world
Starbound - Action / Adventure / RPG From the developers of Terraria ready for Preorder!
Gamers rejoice as Starbound, from the developers of Terraria, the hit Action, Adventure, Rpg game which sold over 50,000 copies is now available for pre-order. Starbound is not a sequel but based on the same type of Terraria principal. In Terraria you created your own story, spoke to friends, made rooms, built huge forts, dug deep into the earth, wacked your pickaxe at blocks for resources, created better and better items while killing evil bosses and much more. In Starbound it is very much a new game, new ideas but still that Terraria feel is there. With a space like feel, new worlds to visit and strange new creatures, plus much more, I'm sure this game will be a massive hit, so as from the ending of this post I'm going to pre-order!
Heroes Of The Sword - Browser based action hack and slash
Every so often I get the chance to play the games I write about, and for the short time I played Heroes Of The Sword, it was a very enjoyable experience. It's also a free browser based game, against other players online. This involves a lot of hacking and slashing while jumping on certain platforms, yes you can also use throwing weapons as well. You get a quick glimpse of the game through a tutorial and learn that sword attacking is done by mouse cursor slash movement. If you swipe the cursor up, your character slashes up and so on. Standard controls for movement, though space is the better option for jumping.

Father Jonah Saves the Day - ZX Spectrum game Wizard’s Lair tribute (Browser Based)
Not exactly a remake but a tribute to a very classic game called Wizard's Lair, released in 1985. This was a January 2013 entry for One Game A Month, but it was actually done in less than a week. It uses the bonus theme for January (‘portcullis’) and it’s a tribute to Stephen Crow’s magnificent ZX Spectrum game Wizard’s Lair. What I like about this tribute is it works in any browser, yes you can play it at work ;)
