OpenMW v0.25.0 - Open Source Morrowind gets a new AI update!

Game Genre : OpenMW is an open source implementation of the game classic RPG Morrowind
Developer : OpenMW
Developer Quote : The OpenMW team is proud to announce the release of version 0.25.0! With the implementation of SoundGen records and the Wander AI Package, this release introduces stomping NPCs. Note that AI Wander must still be called from the console. SoundGen implementation also means that Creatures make noises. Prepare for squealing scrib nostalgia. SDL2 has also been implemented, which stomps out a lot of mouse focus.

What can only be described as Zelda on Minecraft steriods, is one beauty of a game and it's here for your PC! We've done a big feature on the game before but sufficed to say, if you want an RPG in a living breathing world with beautifuly randomly generated buildings and landscapes, big bosses, extra classes, map, crafting, skill trees and hand gliders then this is the RPG to buy. Especially as I've been waiting for this game for awhile, and now it's here my wallet will be emptied!

Freebooter - An Open-world Seafaring Game, time to set sail gamers! (Kickstarter)

Game Type : Single player open world game set in a fantasy pirate world
Developer/Project By : Nissanthen Thiruravichandran (TribunalGames)
Kickstarter Goal : £50,000
Developer Quote :  Wonders, riches and a vast uncharted sea! All waiting for a captain bold enough to brave the dangers in Freebooter.
Game Info Quote : Freebooter is a single player open world game set in a fantasy pirate world. Like barnacles on the hull of a ship, the world of Freebooter is dotted with islands. The only way to travel is by ship, all trade is done in harbors and wars are fought as much for the sea as for the land. Every time you start a new game, we create a new world for the player to explore. New islands are placed, complete with natural resources and settlements. These settlements may be independent or they may belong to a faction. The factions themselves are also procedurally generated, with their own colours, territory and characteristics. Freebooter is all about giving the player the freedom to explore this world - we just provide a starting ship and the opportunities. You are never really locked into a role when you play Freebooter. For example, even if you have been trading for a long time, there is nothing to stop you from exchanging your merchant ship for a battleship and doing a bit of pirating or fighting a war.
Release : Dec 2013(Alpha)
Systems : PC

Hundreds of structures both above and below ground, including castles, estates, temples , ruins and more! There's even a skill set and the ability to craft, especially weapons as you will be fighting enemies in this massive world.
Developer Quote : Other games have touched on that elusive feeling, especially Elder Scrolls and early Fallout games, but as fun as they are and as much as I love hardcore RPG mechanics, I've always dreamt of a game that emphasized exploration above all else, Frontiers is that game.

Winterheart II - A most beautiful atmospheric ENB for Skyrim!

Everyone has heard of Skyrim, a game by Bethesda with a massive open world, tons of quests, enemies, pretty much everything that's required of an RPG. But have you seen Winterheart II? This is a beautiful atmospheric ENB profile and weather plugin that aims to bring a new grandure to the world of Skyrim. Unlike other ENB profiles the developer(s) are pushing Skyrim into a dark and depressing mood, which really fits the story, characters and locations of this game. I've seen many different types of ENB's and this one just blew me away, so highly recommend. Just check out these amazing screenshots!

Cubeworld - Voxel-based exploration RPG

Tonight on Indie Retro News it's the game called Cubeworld and it's a Voxel Based Exploration RPG, it's unlike anything I've seen before and probably the same with you the viewers. There is not much to go on at the moment as it's still very much in development, however sufficed to say there will be a lot of exploring involved and have a Zelda feel to it with a hint of Minecraft
