The core of Jumpman was a combination of a solid control system and puzzle based gameplay. Every level was a different set of challenges, ranging from just dodging the bullets, to malfunctioning robots, vampire bats, falling bombs, moving bombs, disintegrating platforms, to invisible levels who's layouts you have to discover.  For those who are modern gamers, it requires the intelligent gameplay levels of Portal, while maintaining the old-school 2D twitch requirements of games like Donkey Kong.
