ALIEN STORM - A remake of the Arcade classic Space Invaders for multiple retro systems

I'm sure many of you remember Space Invaders, a game that was first released way back in 1978 in the Arcades in Japan with a further release made available in the United States and a much later version in the 1980's on the Atari 2600.  Well if you do remember it, or more especially its clones and inspired games, you might be interested to know that spotlessmind1975 has done a remake of the game and released it as Alien Storm for the C64, VIC-20 (with expansion memory installed), PLUS/4, C128 and Atari.

Lemmings - An unreleased and very unfinished version available as a preview on the Plus/4

During the early part of 2016, it was the 25th Anniversary of DMA Design's ' Lemmings '. A game published by Psygnosis way back in the early 90's for the Amiga, Atari ST and PC and regarded by many as one of the greatest games ever and featured many blue, green haired Lemmings that could be blown up, ripped apart and dropped from the highest of points before they even hope to reach that exit. So why is this great game getting a mention? Well as of this month you can play a preview of an unreleased version of Lemmings, which has been made available for the Commodore plus/4 that sadly will never be finished.

Treasure Island Dizzy - Another classic The Oliver Twins game now on the Commodore Plus/4

I have always been a massive Dizzy fan, not only playing every Dizzy game ever released since 1987 by the famous Oliver Twins but also featuring all of the fan games, the Atari XL/XE conversion by Irgendwer and Fandal, and the more recent Dizzy 1 conversion by Dave (Ulysses777) over to the Commodore Plus/4. Thankfully the conversions haven't ended there, as thanks to Yolkfolk letting us know, we've been told Dave (Ulysses777) has now released the Commodore Plus/4 conversion of Treasure Island Dizzy.

ISS EMERGENCY - A new Adventure adaptation for the Commodore 64 and Plus/4

We've mentioned a number of command text based adventure games lately, from games such as Venganza and Spooky Adventure, to Knight Orc and Masquerade. But now another game has appeared which will appeal to gamers who like those sort of games, as we've been told by a good friend of ours that 'ISS EMERGENCY' has been released for the C64 and Plus/4 as a game written by John Whatson and adapted for 8-bit machines by Gareth Pitchford with the DAAD Engine converted by Siz.

ALPHARAY - A fabulous shoot em up for the COMMODORE C16 + 64K and the PLUS/4

On the topic of brilliant looking shoot em ups, one such game caught our eye, and that's Stefan Mader's and team ' ALPHARAY ' by Puls4r. This game released recently at the Evoke party, is a stonkly good shoot em up, which was released by the Bauknecht Group for the COMMODORE C16 + 64K and or PLUS/4. It features high quality graphics, smooth frame rates, and a nostalgic scrolling action trip to that of R-Type!
