Rocky & Co Xmas - A very festive C64 demo from ICON64 via Psytronik Software!
With Christmas being just over a month away you'd expect to see lots of Christmas themed games appearing on Indie Retro News in the lead up to the 25th. Well that's certainly happening this week, as the second title to be mentioned on our site is a Christmas themed demo of ROCKY & CO Xmas: A new festive demo for ICON64's high quality platform puzzler which we had the pleasure of featuring last month. To coincide with this news Saberman has done a new video showing the demo being played.

While many of you are still deeply engrossed in the latest game of SNK vs CAPCOM by Jon Eggelton and Gianluca Alberico, there's another game that's well worth a download, and it's ICON64's latest Commodore 64 release of 'Rocky & Co': A high quality platform puzzler which has gameplay spread throughout 12 beautifully designed levels by Stuart Collier, Trevor Storey and Saul Cross! To coincide with this news, there's some new animated screenshots to look at and a video coming soon from Saberman.

Polar Bear in Space! - An Action packed game through Psytronik Software and RGCD gets a C64 release
What a great December this is turning out to be and it looks like the C64 goodness hasn't finished with us yet. As trawling through Facebook, we have just found out that the previously announced in development game of 'Polar Bear in Space!' is now available for download via Psytronik Software and RGCD. For those who didn't follow our previous write up, this is an absolutely stunning game in which you take control of an extremely cute Polar Bear in a quest to run, jump and zap through various alien-infested levels whilst collecting krystals.
Jump! - The Amiga AGA version of Yoomp! is now available for pre-orders!
The Amiga scene just keeps on giving us the good stuff, as not only do we now know that Jump! is still coming to the Amiga, which is the Amiga AGA version of a game originally called Yoomp! But as of today you can pre-order the game with an official release of around spring 2022. Yoomp! 64 was originally released in 2020 by RGCD and Psytronik Software on the C64, as port of the fantastic Atari XE/XL game. It featured gaming mechanics in which you need to bounce a ball through many different three-dimensional textured tubes, to collect as many points as you can while trying not to fall off the edge.

It has been a bit quiet on the retro front, but thankfully today brings us some newish goods. As trawling through the itch.io website, we've come across a release from Psytronik Software called ' The Last Amazon Trilogy '. This pack according to the website, is an awesome release for your C64, as it includes not just the enhanced SEUCK games from Alf Yngve, but there's also an extra bonus game called Amazon Tales which was created by Richard Bayliss.
The Shadow Over Hawksmill - A dark C64 Cthulhu inspired game live stream tonight!
The last post of today and one I think you'll agree is well worth mentioning, as thanks to a heads up from our good friend HayesMaker64. We've been told 'The Shadow over Hawksmill' is not only available for digital download as from today if you've pre-ordered the game, but there will be a live stream this evening from HayesMaker64 showing exclusive footage for many who haven't yet pre-ordered this Cthulhu based horror from Icon64 through Psytronik Software.

ROTATOR - A new game announcement for the Commodore Amiga
Great news if you want some more Amiga goodness, as earlier today we found out via Facebook, that Psytronik Software have announced a new Amiga game in development called ' Rotator '. This game that will be coming soon available to order in a superb Collector's Edition Box Set. Is a previously unreleased arcade game for the Commodore Amiga, in which you must take control of your ROTATOR craft and carefully manoeuvre it through the varied challenging landscapes collecting diamonds whilst trying to stay above the ever-rising flood level!
MARS - A new C64 game from Sputnik World, a mission to MARS!
C64 owners you might have felt a little bit left out today with all that Amiga and C16/Plus/4 news going on, but worry not! As thanks to a hearty heads up from Psytronik Software, they have announced a brand new game coming to the C64 called 'MARS'. Yes indeed it's time for the C64 to shine, as in this upcoming game from Sputnik World, set 50 years after man first set foot on the moon, you must take a bold new leap to visit that big red planet, the planet MARS!
