Relentless 64 - Fast paced C64 Shoot em up released by Bitplane Technomantes


The C64 games just keep on coming *Seriously it's just non stop!*. But now we look towards another Shoot em up for our retro blasting kicks, as Bitplane Technomantes had released a fast paced Shoot em up called ' Relentless '; a C64 conversion of axelay's CPC 16KB game Relentless, which was originally coded for the 2013 16kb cart compo and ending up as a winner in the competition.

Docsters Digger - Bonus C64 game released with Mancave


During this weekend as noted by our main write up on Friday, Psytronik Software had released a brand new C64 game by Megastyle called ' Mancave '; a game which follows the hilarious adventures of Richard Morningwood who has the unfortunate task of gathering up the pages of some rather naughty magazines that have been nabbed from his secret stash by his pesky kids. Well if you were fortunate enough to purchase this great C64 game, you'll be interested to know the game also contained a bonus in the form of another game called ' Docster's Digger '.

Eel Ecurb - Bruce Lee playable in reverse on the Atari 8bit


In 1984 Datasoft released a brilliant arcade platformer called 'Bruce Lee' which was based on the famous motion picture martial artist. It was and still is a highly regarded platformer that is still loved to this day and can be played by anyone. But boy do we have something unusual for you guys and girls As thanks to a heads up by Saberman, we've been told Ute has released a test demo called Eel Ecurb; A game which is basically Bruce Lee played in reverse as a test demo for the upcoming Bruce Lee 2 Atari 8bit conversion/port!

Lost Little Spaceman - A little lost Spaceman in a new ZX Spectrum game


Another Saberman heads up as he has told us Nellyfish has released the Arcade/Platformer game of ' Lost Little Spaceman ' which is available to download and play on a ZX Spectrum. This game developed using AGDx, is the latest enjoyable title to appear on our little Speccies, as in this game you need to survive against the forces of gravity in an unknown Space Station, full of nasty traps such as laser beams and other deadly obstacles.

AMIner - An Arcade mining game released for the Amiga gets an update


Another Amiga announcement has just arrived from Saberman, as he has just told us a previous Amiga game that was released in March of this year called ' AMIner ' has been updated to ver. 19.6.9, which features a number of improvements. This previous game listed in the EAB game development contest 2019, is an Arcade game that is not only based on a Motherload flash game, but also looks like an inspiration to Mr. Driller Drill Spirits, which was originally released on the Nintendo DS.

Looter - Early preview of a fabulous looking C64 game by Marvin Hardy


The C64 gets a mention this afternoon as we've just come across a new video from Saberman that shows the very latest work in progress footage of a C64 game called ' Looter '; which is a new game from Marvin Hardy that was originally called Hellbound. This footage gives us a first glimpse at the game which features not just a cool soundtrack, but the gameplay is intermixed with creepy skulls, nasty hellish beasts, level design and coin collection!

Operation: Labyrinth Fall - Ross Adkin's latest speccy game


The Amiga isn't the only retro system to get a lot of games announced, as after previously announcing the release of Sc0tb0t, KRAP PARK and Percy Penguin in the Present Palaver. Along comes Operation: Labyrinth Fall to keep the ZX Spectrum gamers happy. Yes indeed another ZX Spectrum game has arrived, and unlike the other ones, this one was developed by Ross Adkin using Arcade Game Designer as a metroidvania style game!

If you just can't wait for Christmas but you're feeling festive even though it's hotting up outside, then you'll be pleased to know John Davies has released his Christmas themed game of 'Percy Penguin in the Present Palaver' for the ZX Spectrum. This game as we said before, is a Jet Set Willy/Manic Miner cloned platformer, except with a playable Penguin on a quest to collect all the gifts in every level before the time runs out and it's Christmas day.

PoNG 4K - A wicked Amiga CD32 Pong stye game is now available


It's a Monday and what does that mean? A new week full of awesome retro games to play! First up and one we have featured before as a 3rd place winner at RetroKomp 2018, is Cobe, Koyot1222 and Goatmare's Amiga CD 32 game of 'PoNG4K'; a very fancy multiplayer styled Pong game, as a nod to a great classic released all the way back in the early 70s'!

KRAP PARK - Jaime Grilo's latest ZX Spectrum game gets a release!


Jaime Grilo is certainly no stranger when it comes to making enjoyable ZX Spectrum games, especially with games such as Zukinox and QUAHAPPY under his speccy belt. But now after a previous tease in 2018 and again just recently with an added awesome theme tune, he's yet again mentioned his latest upcoming ZX Spectrum game of ' KRAP PARK'; which unlike before, has had an official release and can be downloaded below!

Rygar AGA - An Amiga conversion of a great Arcade game gets a new beta!


We've been talking about the Amiga AGA conversion of the legendary Rygar game by Tecmo for sometime now, going back as far as when it was first announced last year much to the excitement of the Amiga community. Well after many updates and many shout outs through Amiga Bill's Twitch Stream, we are here to tell you there's been a new update improving on an already great work in progress conversion.

The Predator appears on the Atari XL/XE as a Tech Demo!


It's incredible to think one of the greatest movies of all time 'Predator' was viewed on our screens all those years ago in 1987, with multiple retro gaming ports of the same movie appearing on both the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, BBC Micro, Commodore 64, Electron and even the ZX Spectrum. Well one such system sadly didn't get a look in, the Atari XL/XE, but thankfully Gonzo was able to show what it would look like on that system as he had created a Predator Preview Tech Demo.

Goldrake - C64 Shoot em up based on a 1970's anime/cartoon


The C64 scene hasn't finished with us yet, as moments ago we were contacted by Saberman, that the C64 game based on the 1970's Manga UFO Robo Grendizer called ' Goldrake ', has recently been released by The Hokuto Force. This game classed as a shoot em up and developed using SEUCK, is inspired by a classic cartoon and features graphics and music by VG VOX.

Pagoda Warrior II - A brand new C64 game featuring music by Richard Bayliss!


The C64 news just keeps on coming, as earlier today we were informed by the developer Stefano "Mc.Valdemar" Canali, that he had released a new C64 game called ' Pagoda Warrior II '; a brand new game featuring music by Richard Bayliss that has been entered in the C64 SEUCK Competition as a follow up to an unreleased SEUCK game he did many years ago lost when he sold all of his Commodore gear.

PONG 4K - A wicked Amiga CD32 Pong stye game now as a boxed edition



In the 1970's Bushnell and another guy called Alcorn released a Pong prototype at a local bar named Andy Capp's Tavern, yet it wasn't until 1975 and through a long history that Pong actually appeared in our homes, and on my very own Atari 2600. Thankfully others see Pong as a truely great game for its time and still loved to this day, as next month (June), Cobe, Koyot1222 and Goatmare will be releasing a boxed CD32 edition of their previous release as PoNG4K; a multiplayer Pong that's more than just a clone!

Rade Blunner Weon Kolalski's Memories - Episode 1 of a new ZX Spectrum platformer


Putting aside the C64 news this evening as now we look towards the ZX Spectrum for our retro kicks, as we've been told by Saberman that Iadvd has released the first episode of a ZX Spectrum game called ' Rade Blunner - Weon Kolalski's Memories ''. Now if you like platformers as I know many of you do, well you'll pleased to know not only Rade Blunner a nice little platformer, but it was also coded using the La Churrera engine by The Mojon Twins!

Let's Invade 2 - A psychedelic Space Invaders on the C64 by Richard Bayliss


Some years back we mentioned Richard Bayliss's Space Invaders game with a twist ' Let's Invade! '; a C64 game which takes the original Arcade 1978 Shooter Space Invaders by Tomohiro Nishikado and adds psychedelic moving backgrounds with upbeat trance music. Well fast forward to this month and we've been informed by Saberman, that The New Dimension with coding and music by Richard Bayliss has released the sequel for the R.G.C.D 16KB compo called ' Let's Invade 2'.

Frantic Freddie II - A highly enjoyable unofficial C64 sequel to a 1980's classic


With so much being released on the C64 last week, you'd think the scene would take a break for a little while, sitting down having a cool drink on a warm day going " Ahhh time to relax " but not so! As on arrival back to writing, we were informed over the weekend of a release called ' Frantic Freddie II ' for the C64; a game coded by Oziphantom, music by nm156 and graphics by Graham Axten, Hend and nm156.

Lumberjack Platform - Tree chopping Amiga game is now a charming platformer!


Some time back we mentioned Megastyle & Protovision's C64 homebrew game of ' Lumberjack ', which put you in the mighty boots of a Lumberjack, chopping down trees as fast as he can, without being bashed by the big branches above. It was a highly addictive game on the C64 that was later ported over to the Amiga as a fantastic enhanced version thanks to Cobe and Lemming880. So why are we mentioning this awesome game again? Well as of today you can play Lumberjack Platform; a new Amiga platformer based around that very enjoyable title, with design by Lemming880, graphics by Koyot1222, support by Cobe and music by Tommy/Android.

Mashed Turtles - A surprisingly enjoyable Frogger inspired C64 game


It's time to put aside the controversial Super Mario C64 news, which is *ahem* still available throughout the globe just not on one particular site ;). As we have come across a rather enjoyable Frogger inspired game called 'Mashed Turtles', which has been released for the C64. This game originally developed by Fandal+PG for the Atari 8bit, is a multiplayer port by Angelsoft, with spirtes by Dorndof that supports up to 8 players of turtle squashing fun.
