Briley Witch Chronicles 2 - Sarah Jane Avory's hit Commodore 64 game gets a sequel and is now available!

This is incredible news if you have a Commodore 64, as thanks to a heads up through Facebook, we just found out that one of the best homebrew developers of Sarah Jane Avory, has announced that she has released eagerly awaited game of Briley Witch Chronicles 2 for the Commodore 64! The sequel to a hit game which is not only a fabulous Japanese styled RPG, but it features feature plenty of retro goodness that is sure to whet your appetite. To coincide with this news, Saberman has provided a gameplay video for the game, which can be viewed below.

Zeta Wing II - Sarah Jane Avory's C64 Parallax Shoot 'em up sequel has been released!

Another cool news story for the C64 community as we've just been told by both Sarah Jane Avory and Saberman, that the sequel to Zeta Wing which is a Indie Retro News 2020 Game of the Year, has been made available to download and play via the itch io website below. This game of which we have featured many times before, is a fabulous top scrolling shooter developed by the ex-SEGA game developer and author: Sarah Jane Avory who also released the incredible GOTY RPG for the C64 called ' Briley Witch Chronicles '.

Well here we are with another Zeta Wing II news update, as thanks to Per Ola Eriksson contacting us early this morning, he has told us that Sarah has shown off the game in a brand new teaser trailer! A trailer which shows not just the levels you'll be playing through, but also that awesome parallax scrolling and multiple enemy types.

Well here we are with another Zeta Wing II news update, as looking through Twitter we have just found out that Sarah has not only shown some new footage of the game, but it gives us another look at the enemies and awesome parallax contained within the levels.

Strikeback - HOT NEWS as a brand new side scrolling shoot 'em up for the C64 by Sarah Jane Avory gets an early access release!

Another great news story for the C64 community as thanks to the developer who contacted us just recently through Twitter. We have been kindly informed that Sarah Jane Avory's previously announced side scrolling Shoot 'em up of 'Strikeback', has been made available as an Early Access v0.1 version with further improvements being made down the line. The Indie Retro News C64 Game Awards 2020 Winners Announced

Here we are again, and what an excellent year it was for C64 game development at least!  The quality of titles - both physical and digital keeps getting better and better. I can't wait to see what 2021 brings us - but with the likes of Eye of the Beholder C64 imminent, A Pig's Quest, Wild Wood, and perhaps Doc Cosmos 2... We have a lot to look forward to this year as well.
