WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta 9 - Latest Amiga Emulator beta fixes expansion handling

Although we missed WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta 8, we didn't miss out on WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta 9 which was released earlier this evening and not long after the previous version. Once again Toni Wilen is still working on the best Amiga emulator to be feature perfect, and this time he's made sure the expansion handling addition is more stable. But as per usual there's always other fixes and improvements to be made and you can read the entire changelog below.

WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta 7 - The latest Amiga emulator beta with more fixes

Indie Retro News is back from its weekend break and yesterday Toni Wilen released the latest Amiga emulator beta version for WinUAE as ' WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta 7. Now during each version we also check out the discussion forums to see if the latest beta is stable enough to be upgraded to. Yet it seems beta 6 was a little on the buggy side and now on to beta 7, Toni has used his skills and fixed as many of those reported bugs as possible. On the down side however some reported GUI related issues are not yet fixed.

WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta 5-6 - The latest Amiga emulator update

It's a Sunday and it's a late evening, but that doesn't stop us from mentioning the latest WinUAE release of ' WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta 5 and 6 which has recently surfaced on the Amiga forums. Toni Wilen is still hard at work as always and is progressing rapidly towards a finished final Amiga Emulator 3.4.0. Not as if that will stop him from doing another one later in the year however as I'm sure 3.5.0 beta will be along next!

WinUAE 3.4.0 beta 4 - Amiga emulation with even further updates

Another week another Amiga emulator beta and this time Toni Wilen has updated WinUAE to WinUAE 3.40 beta 4. We decided to skip 1 to 3 purely because a number of users had issues which needed to be fixed and we felt it best to give it time to mature some more before we mentioned it here. This latest release isn't a big update compared to earlier, but does include extra support such as IVS vector accelerator boards, 68000 mode fallback and predefined autoconfig RAM board choices. WinUAE 3.4.0 beta - A BIG Amiga Emulation update with a huge changelog!

More Amiga news this evening as Toni Wilen has finally come out of hibernation and released another WinUAE Amiga emulator beta update. You probably thought the previous final WinUAE 3.3.0 (06.06.2016) was the last one as it came across perfect for us, but not so it seems as now we've got this new update 'WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta'. An Amiga week full of surprises! - Mr Nutz, Team 17 and WinUAE

It's always the way isn't it, whenever you take time off either through illness or like last week a much needed break, along comes a news story that makes you feel a bit down beat that you didn't get it done. So what better way to make up for that, than to mention not just one Amiga news story, but three! An Amiga CD32 release from Earok and team ' Mr Nutz ', Team 17 : The Complete Amiga Works by AmigaJay, and a new Amiga emulator beta version ' WinUAE 3.3.0 beta 11 ' from Toni Wilen.

WinUAE 3.3.0 Beta 9 - The latest Amiga emulator release, but with improved performance?

I was starting to wonder when we'd see another Amiga emulator beta release from Toni Wilen and sure enough just yesterday, he released ' WinUAE 3.3.0 Beta 9 '. Although this isn't a big update in the grand scheme of things, it does have one interesting feature and that is OS4.x UAE trap mode using hybrid busy wait mode, which according to Toni improves performance. One such user by the name of Aegis has already tried it and noted a 8 frame rate increase in Quake. So head on over to the download link, and let us know if it does the same on your system!

WinUAE 3.3.0 Beta 8 - The latest Amiga-PC emulator beta release for March

Good morning readers it's another Amiga emulation heads up, as Toni Wilen has released the Amiga Emulator for the PC as' WinUAE 3.3.0 beta 8 '. Although this was released over the weekend, a number of bugs did appear from the previous version and thus we decided to wait it out before giving you the heads up. Well it looks ok from this end as after just a few days Toni released a trap fix update and people are now giving positive feedback and as such it's well worth updating after reading the changelog below.

WinUAE 3.3.0 Beta 7 - More bug fixes for the best Amiga emulator!

On a more positive note for the Amiga community, considering the news of Dave Needle's passing. Toni Wilen has released the latest Amiga emulator 32bit and 64bit update of ' WinUAE 3.3.0 Beta 7', with even more bug fixes and improvements over from the previous version. As we missed the other versions in our news postings, this is a bigger update than usual and from the look of it, we can't be that far off a final 3.3.0.

It's the end of the week and we have another beta version to mention of Toni Wilen's Amiga Emulator WinUAE. A small update as we are now at ' WinUAE 3.3.0 Beta 5 ', mainly fixes issues to do with dark palette's, game ports and OS4 UAE expansions. Available as a 32bit or 64bit file depending on what Windows OS you have installed, this latest beta fixes on the fly input device change crashing, OS4 UAE expansion updates and much much more. Good morning readers, it's going to be a busy week full of games and to start it off we again have Toni Wilen's Amiga Emulator for the PC to mention as it's reached a beta version of ' WinUAE 3.3.0 beta 3 '. Although this was released yesterday and does show up as beta 2, Toni has assured the community that it is infact beta 3 and features more bug fixes and possible future support such as on the fly directory harddrive changes. WinUAE 3.3.0 Beta 1 - The best Amiga emulator gets a new beta release for 2016!

I wondered when a new beta release would appear for Ton Wilen's Amiga emulator WinUAE, and sure enough today the creator has now released ' WinUAE 3.3.0 Beta 1 '. Personally I didn't think there was anything wrong with the previous final but as typical of Toni he's found more bugs that needed fixing, and improvements needed to be made. In this version the main points of interest are Game Ports panel custom mapping, first phase of hardware based host/emulation interface done, and uae-configuration is now OS4 compatible! WinUAE 3.2.2 - The best Amiga emulator 2015 final!

What a great Christmas week for Amiga gamers as Toni Wilen has now released the Amiga emulator final release of ' WinUAE 3.2.2 '. We didn't expect any more versions away from 3.2.1 but how wrong we was, as more bugs needed to be fixed and improvements needed to be made. As such you can now download this brilliant emulator in either 32bit or 64bit, with fixes such as JIT FPU 32-bit 64-bit compatibility fixes and Slirp network mode high CPU usage. WinUAE 3.2.2 B2 - The best Amiga emulator beta update 2

Although Toni Wilen did say he was going to release one beta a week, it seems as if he just couldn't hold back and as such today he released the latest Amiga emulator version of ' WinUAE 3.2.2 Beta 2 ', which is now available for download in 32bit and 64bit form. In my opinion I thought the previous final was perfect but alas it was not so, as Toni has found even more bugs to fix such as No MIDI out devices detected and SASI/SASI (CHS) options were not visible in GUI when listing SASI controllers. WinUAE 3.2.2 B1 - Bug fix update Beta 1 for the best Amiga emulator

For once in the development cycle of Toni Wilen's Amiga emulator ' WinUAE ', I actually thought the recent final of ' WinUAE 3.2.0 ' would be the last for this year. How wrong I was, as Toni has now released the first beta ' WinUAE 3.2.2 B1 ' , classed as a quick 1 week beta series with mainly bug fixes. Surprisingly even after all those previous beta versions and release candidates, yet more bugs have appeared and it's down to you to give Toni feedback to get them squashed once and for all. Do note however this is beta 1, so expect more versions to come out perhaps even this side of Christmas.

WinUAE 3.2.0 - Toni Wilen's Amiga emulator reaches a new final build!

After many months of beta updates with a ton of fixes and improvements including 64bit support, today is the day that Toni Wilen has released a brand new WinUAE version 3.2.0. This is no small release either with major improvements such as a 64-bit compatible 680x0 JIT, Accelerator boards, HD controllers and much more to keep it going as the best Amiga emulator for all your Amiga gaming needs. WinUAE 3.2.0 Beta 20: (RC3) - The next Amiga emulator release candidate

Toni Wilen has now released the next release candidate for his Amiga emulator, as ' WinUAE 3.2.0 Beta 20 (RC3) '.  Although I was expecting WinUAE to be released as a final by now, it seems more bugs have crept up and needed to be fixed before he can put his big old Toni stamp of approval on this fine piece of Amiga - PC software. But still if all goes well, expect the final version to be available either this month or next. See changelog below for what has been fixed.
