Bomb Munchies - Bomberman clone updated for the ZX Spectrum
It might be heading towards 1am, but boy do we have a nice ZX Spectrum game for you to play! It's ' Bomb Munchies ' developed by Mat Gubbins, which is kind of like Bomberman but has lots of deadly spiders walking about placing webs! Oh and this game is also up to 4 player, so if you've got some friends around for a party, load this game up for an evening of ZX Spectrum enjoyment!
Dungeon Kingdom - Enjoyable Dungeon Crawler gets a highly requested feature added!
Although we do gaming write ups, we tend not to mention every single update that happens to games while they are in Early Access. A game during that stage of feedback development, can be a completely different beast to when they are first mentioned, plus it's hugely time consuming. But when it comes to Hydro Games dungeon crawler of ' Dungeon Kingdom ', of which we did an early preview. Not only is it an enjoyable experience to play so far, but the developers have today announced a number of features added to the game, with one of them being a highly requested Auto-map!
WinUAE 3.2.2 B2 - The best Amiga emulator beta update 2
Although Toni Wilen did say he was going to release one beta a week, it seems as if he just couldn't hold back and as such today he released the latest Amiga emulator version of ' WinUAE 3.2.2 Beta 2 ', which is now available for download in 32bit and 64bit form. In my opinion I thought the previous final was perfect but alas it was not so, as Toni has found even more bugs to fix such as No MIDI out devices detected and SASI/SASI (CHS) options were not visible in GUI when listing SASI controllers. For further fixes and improvements for this seriously sweet Amiga emulator, read the change log below.
Donkey Kong Jr - Atari 8-bit Arcade HACK update v8
Just days ago (link) we mentioned Darryl1970's Atari 8-bit hack of that classic game ' Donkey Kong Junior ', which was originally released in 1982 for Arcades and later released for home systems such as the Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 8-bit , ColecoVision, Coleco Adam, Intellivision, NES and BBC Micro, with a C64 overhauled version released by Mr Sid at the end of last year. Well that same hack has just been updated again this week with new colour changes, a redraw of Mario's step, edits to Donkey Kong, spring redraw, bird tweaks and the redraw of all of Juniors frames compared to the arcade.

Roland of Sherwood - Carnivac improves his WIP Amstrad CPC styled game
Carnivac has given the CPCwiki community a rather nice screenshot update today for his in development Amstrad CPC styled game of ' Roland of Sherwood ', which looks like it may be released at some point this year for the PC. An update of the Roland in Time/Space pics with his time travelling phone booth having landed in medieval England. This latest update features a completely different view of the original landscape to the one seen above, that's far more bleak and more gritty, to that of a bewitched look.

To our amazement just last week (link) we found out some very special news related to the PC remake of the 1984 Amsoft classic 'Harrier Attack'. Originally one of the greatest games I have ever played, with the concept of the game to fly a British Harrier Jet across the landscape on bombing runs destroying both enemy buildings and aircraft. Has now received another YouTube update and this time it doesn't just have sound, but it looks smooth with clouds animation, moving planes and big explosions!
Crystal Kingdom Dizzy - Classic Dizzy is back and he's out of beta
Dizzy fans have we got news for you as we've just heard from the YolkFolk, of the final release for the remake of 'Crystal Kingdom Dizzy'. First released in 1992 on many different systems by Codemasters such as the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, DOS, and Amiga, has now been given a graphical de-make to the likes of the 8 bit classics. Not just that but unlike the original version, this one has been made into a traditional Dizzy style game and is no longer split into four levels.
Roland of Sherwood - Carnivac's Amstrad CPC styled game gets an update!
You may remember our recent feature of Carnivac's most impressive looking Amstrad CPC styled platformer game of 'Roland of Sherword' which is still in development. But we've just been given the update of a new screenshot which looks rather nice to say the least. The developer has also noted since our most recent article, that he only started it not long ago but it's a relatively simple game with almost all of the main code and 75% of level graphics are done, so technically it's already the most complete of his CPC projects.

Amiga prototypes that Commodore hid from the world see light of day!
Pretty much everywhere you go now someone is talking about today's Amiga 30th birthday. So it came as no surprise to us to find the odd golden jem in a land of lost ideas, prototypes of Amiga systems that either didn't see the light of day or only one person ever had a working model stored in a dingy basement. However thanks to Techradar they've tracked down never-before-seen prototype versions of the multi-tasking powerhouse and a D-44 Amiga development system - only 100 of which were ever made - in addition to a prototype Amiga 2000 called 'The Ranger'. So go and check these rather special beasties out and wonder what type of Amiga we would've had, if these got a commercial release.
