I'm sure many of you remember the Street Fighter games, more especially Street Fighter 2; a game which originally appeared on the Arcades, and was then ported to pretty much every system you could think of, including such systems as the Amiga, Atari St and even the ZX Spectrum. Well fast forward to today however and a great video has just appeared via the Amiga community, as this video(link) explores how an arcade port of Street Fighter II could have been made for the Commodore Amiga 1200.

Eye of the Beholder - Homage - A Fatbot Games Fan Video!
It wasn't long ago that we gave a huge shout out to Fatbot Studio's dungeon crawler of Vaporum. Which turned the fantasy style gameplay on its head as a rather epic Steampunk crawler with strange mechanical beasts, contraptions and rooms of steam based machinery. Well it seems as if the developers haven't been sitting idle since its release, as just like us as fans of Eye of the Beholder, which helped shape a genre ( and their game ), they have shown us an Eye of the Beholder - Homage video, as a thanks to that great classic.

Seriously watch the video and take it all in, it's brilliant!

Matt Chat interviews Volker Wertich, Father of The Settlers
When I was a teen one game I remember so fondly was the early 90's game ' The Settlers ' on the Amiga. It had oodles of charm and character and became one of my most addictive game series ever released on both the Amiga and then later the PC. You could build your very own little village, from woodcutters to farms and bakeries while watching your little people go about their daily chores with birds chirping in the background. It was just a shame that Ubisoft decided to wreck the later games and become a shadow of its former self. Thankfully Matt Chat was on hand this month to help relive those glorious days as he has interviewed ' Volker Wertich ' about the Commodore VIC-20 and C-64, the Amiga, Emerald Mine, and yes, The Settlers.
The Amstrad CPC 6128 USB Floppy Emulator Hardware + New sound board addition!
Through last month we did two big hardware reviews for the Amstrad community, one of those was the DDI3 USB Floppy Emulator for the Amstrad CPC 464 and the other was The Amstrad CPC 6128 USB Floppy Emulator. Both of these hardware reviews were very popular and it's because of that, a good number of Amstrad users are now proud owners of these two devices developed by Zaxon also known as Piotr Bugaj. But the news of today is, the 6128 USB Floppy Emulator is going to be upgraded with a new sound board, which adds disk loading sounds, just like an original disk drive.
The Year Video Games Died - An interesting look back at our retro past
Trawling through the big internet looking for that great retro update to pass the time of a boring week, I came across a fascinating video by Ahoy that takes a look at a time when the gaming industry nearly died a slow painful death. Yes many years ago before the time of the great 8-bit machines such as the Amstrad CPC 464, the C64 and the ZX Spectrum, there was a great era of gaming with the Atari 2600 that almost ended as a complete disaster, and it is that system where this story begins!
Amiga Game Remakes for Android by Tomáš Konvička
To be honest apart from the odd Android game here and there, we tend not to feature them. Most are in our eyes are rather poor and just a way to cash in on microtransactions and other such paid for in game nasties. However thanks to a find by s2325, he's come across a video on Youtube which shows some of the better games that have appeared for Android based devices. This is in fact the 'Amiga Game Remakes for Android' upload by Tomáš Konvička, which has games such as Lemmings, Another World and Battle Squadron. It's just a shame that the video is only 11mins long, as I'm sure there are other great Amiga games ported over, well that's if the Amiga/Android emulator uae4all doesn't take your fancy!
A600 Vampire V2 - Total acceleration for the Amiga 600!
Throughout this month so far we have been writing about the ' Vampire 600 V2 ' which according to our previous articles 1 and 2 is a beastly accelerator for the Amiga 600 by Igor Majstorovic, (Majsta). and tcore (CPU) by Gunnar von Boehn, (BigGun) that basically turns your Amiga 600 into one of the fastest Amiga's available! Not only that, but without the heat, the mad power requirements and still gives solid frame rates in games such as Doom and Day of the Tentacle whereas other Amiga's would slow to a crawl. In fact a number of videos have now surfaced showing us just how good this piece of kit is. It's just a shame we don't have an Amiga 600 on hand to give you our thoughts, but we will be waiting on the Amiga 1200 Vampire when and if that arrives!
Over 1 hour of retro footage takes us back to a great time of DOS gaming!
Technobuffalo has come across possibly the greatest DOS based retro gaming video you'll see this side of 2016. An era of gaming between the 80's and 90's when games were loaded through a command line operating system, that required at least some knowledge with Autoexec editing. It was an era full of incredible games that even matched the Amiga in brilliance, such as Prince of Persia, The Secret of Monkey Island, Lands of Lore, Warcraft, Day of the Tentacle and many many more. Hell, even today games are still being played using the emulator DosBox or purchased through our favourite site GOG that have been tinkered with to get them to work on modern systems. As such this video by DOS Nostalgia shows us over 1 hour of DOS gaming footage, from Rayman all the way up to Shannara by Legend Entertainment Company. If you haven't seen this you are missing out!
Kaizo Trap - This is some seriously awesome animation!
Usually we bang on about games and music videos related to gaming, but this might be unlike anything you've seen before! Created by Guy Collins Animation, ' Kaizo Trap ' is a full on animated video showing what could possibly happen if your other half was trapped in a NES video game and you had to save him. Not only is the animation of high quality, but everything about this video will make your jaw drop from both the level design and music by Leslie Wai. Watch as she dies again and again, but just keeps on going, just as you and I would with a handy push of the continue button!
The 464 Project - 464 Games On The Amstrad CPC464 by Novabug
It's not very often we feature other gaming channels unless it's on Facebook, but today we are going to make an exception for Novabug's latest video of 'The 464 Project - 464 Games On The Amstrad CPC464'. With several months of compiling to mark the 31st anniversary of the Amstrad CPC464, this latest impressive video features almost 1 hour of CPC games, four hundred and sixty four of them. As the retro gamer says : Some great, Some bad, some ugly, but all of them on the Amstrad.
Pillars of Eternity - How Obsidian was saved from Bankruptcy
Obsidian Entertainment established in 2003 after the disestablishment of Interplay Productions' Black Isle Studios, released some fantastic games that are still loved to this day. Games such as Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II, Neverwinter Nights 2 and South Park : The Stick of Truth. However all was not well as Obsidian was very close to being shut down. It was a time of great sadness as emotions were felt throughout the game studio, yet little did they know that their Kickstarter idea of Pillars of Eternity was to change all that and set the path of the company to another high point in it's life raising over 1 million in funding. Watch the Developer Diaries and see how it all came to pass.
