Star Citizen - Cloud Imperium shows off new ship and damage model

Star Citizen by Cloud Imperium is certainly dropping jaws with it's graphically intensive cockpit views and scenic space surroundings, but yesterday the developers released two new videos to further wet your appetite.  One such video shows a brand new ship the Retaliator and in flight check, the other, a new damage model which gives us a good indication of what will happen to your ship if you get shot too much.

From Bedrooms to Billions: The Amiga Years film teaser

So what do you do when you've done a successful kickstarter for a film, shot so much footage that cutting it down to a 5 hour long film was hard enough and there also just so happens to be a massive re-surgence in amiga nostalgia and hype around the 30th anniversary of the Amiga? Make a separate movie just about the Amiga of course in 'From Bedrooms to Billions: The Amiga Years'.

If Mario was a real life experience, it would hurt!

Bit of a chuckle video for those that enjoyed Mario growing up. As Pete Holmes has done his own painful reality video of what would happen if Mario and Luigi faced the reality of hitting bricks with their heads. It's funny and worth a quick watch - Thanks Bluesnews

Star Citizen - The brilliance of this Space Combat game show off in a 14 min gameplay video!

Prepare to drool as this game footage will blow you away! Welcome to Star Citizen, a space combat game in the works that reached well over $40 million in funding, a game very similar to that of Wing Commander! Regarding this footage, Chris Roberts demoed a bunch of new footage of the game in action at PAX East!. Just hear those sound effects, amaze at the graphics and listen to the crowd cheer in excitement. I can't wait till this game is released.

Recommended Youtubers for retro hardware goodness Lazy Game Reviews, Kooky Tech....

As you well know, this site is very much based on both the Indie and Retro side of gaming goodness, especially with my era going back to the 80's. Well just recently, I was checking through some of the best Youtubers, looking for some great hardware reviews of Retro systems. Well sure enough I found them, and although I don't usually plug other peoples views, this comes as an exception. I never had a C64, nor did I have a ZX Spectrum, but I did have an Amstrad cpc 464 and then onto an Amiga. There is something missing nowadays, as when I was a kid, there was complete excitement just going into a store and buying the latest magazine or seeing rows and rows of tapes at just £2.99. Or the large Amiga boxes full of colour, lots of floppies and spin wheels donating the games anti-protection. Such good times, such awesome games.... So if you are looking to buy a Retro computer system, either an 8bit or 16/32bit then enjoy the videos below!

Oh and it was created by Andreas Jörgensen and it's so damn cute! If you must know Starbound is really addictive, if you loved Terraria and want to explore the stars, visit new planets, create new weapons and more, I'd highly recommend buying it here.

Infestation(WarZ) & Markee Dragon Interview with myself from IndieRetroNews and others!

Here's a little something that even I got involved in, Markee Dragon was having a google+ live interview with the developer of WarZ, Kewk! A number of points from myself was put forward at 08.45, 10.27, 13.23, 30.20, 33.00, 38.00, 40.38(ish) and 41.50. Namely to do with how to deal with clan situations, like team killing for example or how to deal with hackers and med cool down time. I did also put forward the idea for longer loot stay, in other words instead of everything dissapearing in 10mins it would be 30 or more. Anyway, check out the video and the ideas other members have put forward, it's worth a watch.

DayZ - Devblog 3 August 2013 : An update on the best upcoming Zombie game?

Game Type : Fully Standalone Online Survival Zombie Apocalypse Game
Info : So far nearly everyone has heard of DayZ, the all time great online Zombie apocalypse mod by Mr Rocket. A mod in which you play with lots of other players in a vast infected landscape, while trying to survive with friend or foe or the deadly zombies themselves. It's a game that I myself have spent many many hours just trying to live in a dangerous wilderness. But it's with great pleasure to show the latest dev blog about the standalone from the developer himself. The question on all our lips is, WHEN WILL IT BE RELEASED????
Developer : Rocket Hall
Update : Dev blog 3 Aug 2013

Stop Motion - GuizDP: Donkey Kong

This is seriously impressive and time consuming, of which most people like myself would probably struggle with. This video by guizdp is well worth seeing as it's a stop motion video of Donkey Kong, as if the game was being played. It's pretty incredible and the creator has my upmost respect.

Battlefield 4 Reveal Trailer in Minecraft

This is pretty damn cool, created by KDProductions, this is a Minecraft remake of EA's Battlefield 4 Reveal Trailer. As it was only created in 3days, it's still pretty impressive. I wonder just how far Gamers of Minecraft can go in re-creating something.

If anyone had an Amiga 500 or ever wanted one, then check out this video and take a look at what's inside the 1987 Commodore Amiga 500 computer. I still have this system, but it's currently boxed all covered in warm blankets as she gets cold at night ;)

Time for some 8Bit Chiptune Music! It's Rainbowdragoneyes

I haven't posted any music for ages, but while listening to some classic retro tracks I came across a band called RainbowDragoneyes. The cover didn't really come across as containing retro 8bit chiptunes, but sure enough it does, not just that some of these music videos contain a mix of not just chiptunes but singing and what sounds like a mix of thrash voiceovers.  I'm impressed, not sure you will be though, my tastes seem to differ from everyone else on the site ;)

Top 10 Amiga Games You've Never Heard About

Many of us have fond memories of the Amiga. I myself had an Amiga 500, but during a rather stupid period, I chucked it away! Fast forward to last year and I purchased another Amiga 500 and it's now being looked after, wrapped up in warm blankets. These videos I'm about so show you thanks to LemonAmiga, tell us of a time when not only did they release Amiga games that where well known but there were many that were good, but most of us have never heard of.
