Another ZX Spectrum game has graced our screens, as looking through the itch.io website, we've just come across a rather cool looking new ZX Spectrum game developed by ZXAMAZE called 'Beethoven's Revenge'; A game in which playing as the recently revived BEETHOVEN, you must not only break out of a musical detention camp of the future, but you also have to collect the necessary instruments to rescue your fellow composers and maybe even find out who captured you in the first place!
Nixy the Glade Sprite - A great ZX Spectrum game ported over to the C64 gets a re-release
We haven't finished with the great news just yet, as trawling through the itch io website, we've also found out that BubbleSoft has re-released their amazing game of 'Nixy The Glade Sprite' for the C64; A game that was released some time ago, in which Scotty did a big review of the game, stating that it was highly addictive, very entertaining, and full of beautifully crafted visuals throughout. To coincide with this news, you can view some footage of the game by Saberman which was done last year.
Mechwars: Arena - A rather cool looking Arena game is now available for the ZX Spectrum
We've featured a number of great games by ZXBITLES over the last couple of years, from RED RAID THE BEGINNING to MECHWARS: CENTIPEDE on the ZX Spectrum. Well today's news came as a complete surprise to us from Saberman, as after already featuring their previous release of MECHWARS: CENTIPEDE which was released last year, along comes Mechwars: Arena. A multiplayer ZX Spectrum game as the first one in a trilogy of games that is available both as a digital download and physical tape!
Amidar - A 1980's Arcade and 2600 game gets a Speccy Basic conversion!
It was only just the other week that we featured the latest release of Amidar for the Commodore Amiga as a conversion from the 1980's Arcade and Atari 2600 game. Well here we are with another Amidar feature, as thanks to Saberman contacting us just recently, he has told us that Salvador Camacho has released the Basic version of the game, which has been converted over to the ZX Spectrum for the Concurso Basic 2022 competition. To coincide with this news, Saberman has done a video of the game to show you.

Well today's news came as a complete surprise to us via the Speccy forums, as we have just found out that the same team behind those games, is working on a Centipede inspiration called MECHWARS: CENTIPEDE; a new game for "ZX-Dev Media&Demakes" compo which has been teased in this latest project video viewable below.

Melkhior's Mansion - In Dev Ultimate Play the Game inspired 'Atic Atac' is coming to the ZX Spectrum 128k
Remember when we gave you the heads up that the Ultimate Play the Game's famous classic Atic Atac, was not only being remade for the PC but it was also being remade for the ZX Spectrum Next? Well there's great news for today, as after checking their tweeter feed we've come across a new update regarding their in dev remake of Melkhior's Mansion, which as of now has also been announced as coming to the ZX Spectrum 128K.

Rade Blunner Weon Kolalski's Memories - Episode 1 of a new ZX Spectrum platformer
Putting aside the C64 news this evening as now we look towards the ZX Spectrum for our retro kicks, as we've been told by Saberman that Iadvd has released the first episode of a ZX Spectrum game called ' Rade Blunner - Weon Kolalski's Memories ''. Now if you like platformers as I know many of you do, well you'll pleased to know not only Rade Blunner a nice little platformer, but it was also coded using the La Churrera engine by The Mojon Twins!

With the end of the year fast approaching, you would be forgiven for thinking there wouldn't be anymore fantastic games released, especially as the Christmas rush had ended and New Years Eve is only tomorrow. Well boy do we have surprise for you! As if you followed our previous write up regarding Mister Kung Fu; a full conversion of the 1980's side-scrolling beat 'em up game Kung Fu Master, which appeared on many different systems such as the ZX Spectrum. You'll be overjoyed to learn that Uprising Games has officially released version 1.0 via the ZX-Dev M.I.A / Remakes competition.
Manic Mixup - A remix of Matthew Smith's classic ZX Spectrum 48K game 'Manic Miner'
In 1983 Matthew Smith and published by Bug-Byte released the well known classic of Manic Miner for the ZX Spectrum. Although it was later released again by Software Projects, it was the first game in the willy series and was inspired by the Atari 800 game 'Miner 2049'. Not only was it voted number 25 in the Your Sinclair official top 100 Spectrum games of all time, but it had in game music, and sound effects, and if you ever remembered Jet Set Willy, a high amount of addictive gameplay. But today's news is something special, as 35 years after the original game , Andy Ford and Ian Rushforth have released their remix of Manic Miner in ' Manic Mixup '.
Gandalf Deluxe - An eye opening ZX Spectrum platformer looks better than ever
During the early part of this year we announced the release of a brilliant ZX Spectrum game called ' Gandalf ', which was finished for the ZX-Dev conversion competition as a multi-screen platformer based on the Gandalf character and developed using Nirvana+. Well there's great news for today, as we've recently been told by Gaming Legends that the same developer of Cgonzalez has released the Deluxe version with enhanced performance and in game music!
Night Stalker ZX - Intellivision game comes to the ZX Spectrum
Before the clock strikes midnight there's another game worth mentioning, as thanks to a heads up by Aleisha Cuff, she has told us 'NIGHT STALKER ZX'; A port of the classic Intellivision maze shooter for the ZX Spectrum 48k, has finally been released by AMC Games! If you've never heard of this game before, it was originally released in 1982 for the Intellivision and later ported over to the Atari 2600 as Dark Cavern, with a release also for the Apple II and IBM PC in 1983.
