It was only just last week that the Amiga developer Electric Black Sheep, released the unofficial and minimalistic remake of The Tower of Evil. A top down action game which wasn't just released from 1984 to 1985 by Creative Sparks, but there was a later unofficial port by artlace/rebels for the Commodore 16, Plus/4, ZX Spectrum and VIC 20. Well here we are with another Amiga news story from this developer, as he has released 'Tale of Evil': an unofficial sequel of "Tower Of Evil" for the Commodore Amiga!
Robot Jet Action 2 - C64portal's upcoming Commodore Amiga game is being created using the Scorpion Engine!
We've been told that Carrion(c64portal) has shown new footage of the upcoming Commodore Amiga OCS game of 'Robot Jet Action 2'. A game that was not only released for the Commodore 64 back in 2022, but it featured lots of challenging levels, different themed worlds and so much more which made it rather entertaining! While we still don't know when the game will be released, the creator has announced along side the video, that Robot Jet Action 2 is now being developed using Earok's Scorpion Engine.
Sega Master System 'Vigilante' is coming to the Commodore Amiga via Neeso Games, and here's a demo!
While many of you are still waiting for Neeso Games Arcade platformer of 'Super Delivery Boy': A game which is due for release at some point in the near future. There's another game you should be keep an eye on as developments progress, and that's Vigilante: A game that was released sometime back as a naff port to the Commodore Amiga. Which is now getting a new port by Neeso Games from the Sega Master System via the Scorpion Engine! As in the words of the creator from the first announcement "I prefer this over the arcade version (at least visually). Also the arcade port is already on Amiga and sucks pretty bad"
Time Cristal 1 - Another recovery and again it's for the Commodore Plus/4
The multiscreen platform game of 'Aster' wasn't the only game that was recovered, as we've also found out looking through the plus/4 world website, that they've recovered a game called 'Time Cristal 1': a four level prototype, which later became a full 90's homebrew game from Hungary which was called 'Time Cristal' and released by Reddi. To coincide with this news, we've got another screenshot from this prototype as well as a more detailed description (Video soon).
Aster - Multiscreen platformer thought lost is recovered for the Commodore Plus/4
We do love writing about old retro games that have been lost through the years and for one reason or another have been uncovered much to the delight of the retro community. Today's release for example is pretty special for the Commodore Plus/4 community, as we've found out that BSZ together with Cody have recovered and released the Plus/4 game of 'Aster'. A multiscreen platform game in one disk side, with graphics taken from The Sacred Armour Of Antiriad for the sprites, and from First Samurai for the background elements!
2Tinycowboys - A WIP 2-player single-screen arcade-platformer for the Amiga 500 gets a demo
If you're sick of all the Amiga news, then look away now. If however you want even more Amiga goodness, then come and check out this upcoming Scorpion Engine developed game by Lord_Santa called '2Tinycowboys'. Go! Tony Go! - Another endless driving game appears, but this time from Monochrome Productions for the Atari XL/XE
It was only just yesterday that we announced the release of Tukinem's Commodore Amiga games of ' GoGoGo' ; A game in which playing as a chef driving a classic sports car, you had to avoid ghosts and chasms, while travelling as far as possible picking up coins and potions(?) for a high score. Well it looks as if Monochrome Productions are getting in on the fun, as they too have released an endless racing game called Go! Tony Go! for the Atari XL/XE. A free bonus game as an addition to an incredible platformer called 'Tony' which was originally released for the Amiga, Atari XL & Commodore 64
Nita - A challenging Amstrad CPC Platformer released by haThus in 2023 gets a colour upgrade!

Portal Buster - A super speedy horizontal shooter released for the Commodore 64 by drmortalwombat
Another Commodore 64 game released this week ( no it's not Amiga :p ) , as we've been told that Drmortalwombat has made available the super speedy bi-directional shooter of ' Portal Buster '. A game in which the developer was noted as saying "this game is perhaps too fast for some of the armchair scroller fans, but what do I care, I need speed". Marlow - A new platformer for the ZX Spectrum 128k, inspired by The Great Giana Sisters
The last news story from me today, as thanks to a recent contact by the developer(Amaweks) and our good friend Saberman(YT), we've been told if you remember playing the famous platformer of the Great Giana Sisters which was released from 1987 onwards. Then you may like the latest Amaweks ZX Spectrum game of 'Marlow'. A game in which the developer says is a platformer for the ZX Spectrum 128k, inspired by "The Great Giana Sisters". To coincide with this news, as ever we've got some more information about the game as well as a gameplay video below.
Roland in Retroacalant - A single screen homebrew celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Amstrad CPC 464
It's back to the Amstrad CPC for this news story, as we're informed by XeNoMoRPH a few days ago, that the previously teased Amstrad CPC game of Roland in Retroalacant by CapaSoft, has been made available as a digital download. A single screen Arcade homebrew that celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Amstrad CPC 464. The Tower of Evil - An unofficial remake from the C16, plus4, C64, Z80 to Amiga
Another Commodore Amiga port to grace our home computer screens, is the unofficial and minimalistic remake of The Tower of Evil. A game in which you play the role of Andros who was banished years ago by King Salimos and can only return when he rescues the kidnapped Princess Diana and finds the King's lost treasure taken by an evil Necromancer!
Ami Robbo 2 - Another game announcement as Atari XL/XE puzzler is coming to the Amiga
If you don't have a Sega Mega Drive but an Amiga then this news should cheer you up. As we've just been told by Saberman, that tukinem is working a new game for the Commodore Amiga called 'Ami Robbo 2'. A game that is based around the classic 1980's Action Puzzle game which was released for the Atari XL/XE. An upcoming game that will feature not just new levels, but there's new challenges to be had with new puzzles making it feel fresh for anyone who remembers that classic title. Mega Splatterhouse - 1988/89 Arcade Splatterhouse is coming to the Sega Mega Drive!
With the Caffeine just about kicking in and a HOT news story that's well worth a mention. We've just been informed by the Scorpion Engine creator Earok, that Monster Bath Games Inc is working on bringing the epic and very gory side scrolling slasher of 'Splatterhouse' to the Sega Mega Drive as 'Mega Splatterhouse'. As in the words of the creator "So for the past 2 weeks I took a break from working everyday to... work. Decided to try out Scorpion Engine to make a Sega MegaDrive/Genesis game. How's it looking so far? ;)"
Ruff in Trouble - A high quality nod to RUFF N TUMBLE is coming to the Atari XL/XE
Another nod to a classic, as thanks to Saberman letting us know through Facebook, he has told us that at some point after the ABBUC Software Contest 2024 is finished, shanti77 will be releasing the RUFF N TUMBLE inspired Atari XL/XE game of 'Ruff in Trouble'. A nod to a game first released for the Amiga by Renegade in 1994 and developed by Wunderkind, as one of the finest action packed platforming Amiga games you'll ever play. To coincide with this news, we've got a small description of the game as well as a gameplay video.
ECLIPTIC - Another Commodore Amiga game update tease from bwldrbast!
Want even more Amiga news? Good! Because I've just been informed via our good friend Saberman(YT), that bwldrbst has released a new demo tease of the work in progress turn based tactical combat and role playing game of 'ECLIPTIC'. A game in which you play as a number of robots that must repair, clear out aliens, and deal with security systems on the space ship ECLIPTIC. To coincide with this news, we've also got some new footage of the game also provided by Saberman.
QuasaurusX - Another demo of Amiten's upcoming side scrolling shoot 'em up for the Amiga
Amiten Software has announced a second demo tease, for their newest of creations for the Commodore Amiga called 'QuasaurusX'. A new project in which the creator has said "You must Prepare to embark on a space odyssey filled with intense action and fast-paced side scrolling battles". While the game still isn't finished and there's a long way to go before it's complete, you can atleast check out the latest footage of the game with new updates such as new graphics, new fonts and new Boss fire routines.
Fast Food Dizzy 2 - An unofficial WIP sequel to Codemaster's Fast Food Dizzy for this years AmiGameJam.
AcidBottle is certainly no stranger to creating quality releases for the Amiga, the Arcade to Commodore Amiga game of Breakthru and Wonder Boy are just two of the ones that stand out on IndieRetroNews. Well here are with another AcidBottle announcement, as looking through the EAB forums, this developer is now working on the unofficial sequel of Fast Food Dizzy 2. To coincide with this news, we've got some footage of the game as well as a very brief description.
Thunder Child - This work in progress Intellivision Shoot 'em up looks EPIC!
I have a bit of a soft spot for the Intellivision, especially with some fantastic games announced on our site such as Intellivania, Gooninuff, and Oh Mummy! Well here we are with another awesome news story for the Intellivision community, as winterworks GmbH is working on an EPIC Shoot 'em up called 'Thunder Child'. A game that doesn't just feature upgradeable weapons and powerups, but smooth scrolling parallax backgrounds and lots of levels.
