Jet Set Willy - Classic Jet Set Willy as an inspiration is coming to the NES

Now here's a game I think most of our readers would have played or heard of throughout the years, is Jet Set Willy. A highly enjoyable yet difficult platform game originally written by Matthew Smith and published by Software Projects for many home computers such as the ZX Spectrum in 1984. If you remember this game and have a NES, you'll be overjoyed to learn that sdm2 is working on a NES inspiration which is coming to your classic retro console at some point in the near future.

According to the creator this upcoming title is a Jet Set Willy style game (NESASM3), that was originally started around two years ago, and at the moment most of the code is working. What makes this game not a complete port of the original, is the fact that not only is this the developers own attempt to make a similar engine, but it has a great soundtrack and completely different designed levels.... Sadly that's all we know so far, so lets hope for a release as soon as more improvements are made and further game components are working!
