GLITCHSIST - A striking new action-platformer built for the ZX Spectrum by Tartessos Games

Another homebrew to keep you company throughout this week as developer Tartessos Games has officially unveiled GLITCHSIST, a striking new action-platformer built for the ZX Spectrum. Set against a bleak, neon-drenched backdrop, the game plunges players into a grim future where mega-corporations have entirely subjugated human consciousness. It's down to you as a deep-cover operative who has successfully infiltrated the ranks of AOX Corp, to completely destroy Project DELTA and free the shackled identities of the human race.

According to the game's lore, society’s downfall began subtly with the rise of social media. Eventually, powerful mega-corporations seized total control of the media, the judicial system, and global governments. Instead of relying on traditional military force, these entities weaponized algorithms to breed fear, division, and envy. This calculated manipulation successfully engineered a broken, paranoid, and highly addicted population that willingly policed itself while corporate elites profited off every click, tear, and manufactured conflict. Now, a sinister conglomerate known as AOX Corp. has taken the final step toward total domination with its "Delta Cores" project. Under the guise of fostering ultimate human connectivity, the corporation is actively testing a system that beams powerful delta waves directly into the brains of citizens.... Something you need to stop!
