Back in 1994, as the Commodore Amiga market faced a steep decline, many highly anticipated titles were quietly abandoned. Among the biggest mysteries was The Blues Brothers: Jukebox Adventure, a promising sequel that completely vanished from the Amiga radar, leaving only SNES, PC, and Game Boy users to enjoy the musical duo. For decades, the game was lost to time until late 2025, when a collector named Denis unearthed an extremely rare preview copy from a bundle of floppy disks bought on eBay and shared it with the preservation site Games That Weren't (link). This incredible archival discovery has sparked a brand-new chapter for the lost title, as dlfrsilver has stepped up to hopefully port the PC version over to the Amiga 1200.

The ambitious conversion project is already 80% complete and has been successfully tested on real A1200 hardware. Tossing out the poorly optimized software scrolling from the PC original, the developer has built a custom assembly engine—boasting a 420kb source code—re-engineered specifically for the Amiga's hardware. Running smoothly at 50 frames per second in 256 colours, the game fully utilises the machine's 2MB chip RAM, 68020 processor, and copperlist capabilities. Best of all, the port is almost playable, featuring all 34 levels, working menus, intro and outro sequences, and fully live music and sound effects. The developer credits modern AI assistance for making the rapid translation of code across architectures possible, and has already announced plans to use this newly built engine to port Prehistorik 2, with calls to even port Eye of the Beholder 3!
You can knock AI all you want, but if we end up with a perfectly playable The Blues Brothers 2 AGA on the Amiga, I'm all for it!
EOB 3 UPDATE :
In regards to Eye of Beholder 3, here's the latest "I have indeed already EOB3 Aesop parser fully converted to ASM68K, all the musics perfectly converted in mod and all the graphic assets converted to AGA 256 colors. I'm currently fixing the parser to make the game pass the introduction. The game won't use the original big Eye.res file, but direct files extracted. All the timings are there, all the X86 code has been properly converted to ASM 68020 (target machine), with 2mb of chip."
Stay tuned !

AI is a blessing for sure. Big chance for retro games.
