For those of you who hate AI will be pleased to know that The New Dimension (TND) has officially launched Big Ball Back Breaker, a hectic and addictive new arcade title for the Commodore 64 developed by the prolific Richard Bayliss. Bringing a dose of bizarre madness to the classic C64, this energetic "run, jump, and collect 'em up" spans 16 action-packed levels of ball-dodging chaos. Players are treated to a polished package right from the start, kicking off with an eye-catching cartoon-style loading bitmap illustrated by Alf Yngve, alongside a slick front-end presentation and a competitive high-score table to track the best runs.
The gameplay itself pairs crazy survival mechanics with an array of items to grab, offering helpful power-ups mixed with devious, nasty surprises to keep players on their toes. Backed by a thumping, uptempo soundtrack and custom sound effects by Richard Bayliss, the game is built to fully accommodate those with a C64, offering PAL and NTSC system compatibility right out of the box. Additionally, Commodore 64 owners can also choose their preferred media format, with the disk version featuring a functional high-score saver and the tape version utilizing a classic-looking retro tape loader.
