Y.A.S.I.C - Yet Another Space Invaders Clone for the Vic20 +16k

I'm sure many of you remember Space Invaders, a game that was first released way back in 1978 in the Arcades in Japan with a further release made available in the United States and a much later version in the 1980's on the Atari 2600.  Well if you do remember it and all the money lost down at the Arcades, you'll be interested to know that as of today you can download W E de Villiers latest Space Invaders clone called Y.A.S.I.C for the Vic20 +16k!

In this classic game of Space Invaders for the VIC 20, while the gameplay is identical to the original Arcade hit, in that you need to not only survive by using the buildings(?) as a defence and destroying enemy waves as they move from side to side and slowly drop towards you. What is different however is instead of being the defender, in this game you ARE the invader! As in the words of the developer "We're not being invaded, we're the invaders! There are eight inhabited moons and planets within the Alien solar system, and we have to conquer them all. That's where you come in: The best and the brightest sent to defeat our self-imposed enemy. All hail the Terran Galactic Empire and the Terran Expeditionary Force!"
