I have a soft spot for shoot 'em ups on the Amiga, especially games such as the fantastic Banshee, or my personal favorites Project-X and R-Type. Well thanks to another heads up from the developer known as Roartj(Roar Tjørhom), we've been told that the eagerly awaited WW1 Shoot 'em up called 'Wings of Fear' has come out of beta and has been released into the wild. A high quality game developed using Earok's Scorpion Engine, that will have you hooked for hours!
And here's the full details. "You control a Sopwith Camel double Decker (painted white and gold!) and are on a secret mission to find a hidden german base during WW1. The game features not just 6 main Levels including 2 bombing missions, but there's bonus levels, 5 bosses, 5 different locations, 78 colours, 3 different pick ups, top quality music and sound effects, and of all this requiring an Amiga 1200 and above with RAM:2MB chip. and 2MB of fast.
