Exolon DX - A top quality remake based on the Cecco classic

I asked one simple question on our Twitter page " What retro remake should we mention next? " and sure enough we got our answer. Themis Papassilekas replied "there was a very nice Exolon one ", so guess which game we are going to feature now? That's right it's Exolon DX! Which is a top quality remake of the Raffaele Cecco classic, a great run and gun action game originally released in 1987 for the ZX Spectrum, C64, Amstrad CPC, and later ported to the Enterprise 128, Amiga and Atari ST in 1989.

Remake : developed by Graham Goring

Take the control of a sci-fi soldier as he battles his way across several levels, filled with strange alien enemies, gun turrets, missiles and other disastrous foes. Oh and as a side bonus if you don't upgrade to an exoskeleton using the pod, you'll gain an end of level bonus!

The original with full 8-bit colour!

Surprising isn't it! Imagine what sort of remake we could get today, though don't forget this was recommended by one of our readers :)
