Rollerball CPC - HAL Laboratory's 1984 MSX pinball, now on the Amstrad CPC

Well this is a surprise as I don't usually feature Pinball games, as today saw the release of Rollerball CPC, a brand-new homebrew port of HAL Laboratory’s 1984 classic MSX pinball game. Developed by Oldschool is beautiful with the help of AI, this ambitious project brings the iconic multi-screen pinball experience—complete with its original bumper mechanics, bonus lanes, and scoring systems—to Amstrad CPC hardware for the very first time. Rather than a loose remake however, this version remarkably runs the game's original code directly on the CPC, ensuring the exact ball physics and authentic gameplay that fans fell in love with nearly forty years ago.

Tiny Quest - A charming platformer by Rebel Bytes & Digital Monastery gets an Amstrad port via Outsoftware

Another Amstrad game has appeared, as Xenomorph was kind enough to let us know about the latest game called 'Tiny Quest' which has been ported over to the Amstrad CPC by Outsoftware. After spending the last three weeks mastering source-code conversions for underserved classic systems like the Sam Coupé, Einstein 256, Timex 2068, and Sinclair QL, the developer successfully completed over 30 ports. Among these projects is Tiny Quest, a title originally built for the Commodore 64. Thanks to the original author, Andrea Schincaglia, generously sharing the C64 source code, Outsoftware was able to faithfully port this challenging experience directly over to the CPC.

It's a double Arkanoid clone bonanza! As previously we had Brick Blaster by Issalig, and now we have Destroyer Ball GX, a new homebrew title developed by ShaCPC for the Amstrad CPC and GX4000. Based on an original BASIC block-breaker published in the Amstrad Personal magazine by Rubén and Jorge Rodríguez Rengel, this enhanced CPR version pays homage to the legendary 1980s arcade smash Arkanoid. Players navigate a transformable paddle through eight initial stages of increasing difficulty, featuring remarkably vibrant visuals for its class. Once the baseline levels are cleared, the action intensifies as the game randomly cycles through the map pool, challenging players to survive as long as their five-life reserve allows.
