Wonderboy 1200 - A classic Arcade game from 1986 is being developed for the Amiga with an alpha download available

A long time ago at the Arcades, I used to love playing the fantastic platformer ' Wonder Boy ' designed by Ryuichi Nishizawa. It started its life as a skateboard rock jumping and axe bashing platformer, that later became the great adventure platformer with RPG elements known as ' Wonderboy in Monster Land '. Both of these games have lived on in the hearts of many, and as such, one fan is developing his own Wonderboy game but this time as Amiga port of the Arcade classic which is being developed for the Amigamejam competition by acidbottle.

As we said before : Although it still doesn't look like the game will be finished any time soon and an alpha demo is now available. You'll be pleased to learn that not only is Wonderboy being created using Earok's amazing Scorpion engine , but the game will also being made with Aseprite and PPaint with a palette of 32 colour, requirements of an OSC with some extra memory, and finally the creator is hopeful that this amazing looking port will be finished for the Amigamejam as a hopeful winning entry.

(Please note this will run best on a stock 1200 or better. An optimised  version for A500  is coming soon)
