Duke Nukem 3D - An updated AGA/RTG port for the Amiga by NovaCoder

Although it's rare, there are occasions when we miss out on the latest Amiga releases, which is usually because we don't get the news sent to us, or it involves a lot more than delving into the depths of a hard forum discussion. Well thankfully one of our readers has sent us a number of Amiga updates, with one of them announcing a new version of NovaCoder's Duke Nukem 3D AGA/RTG port for the Amiga.  An all time classic game originally released in the 90's for the PC and other systems.

According to NovaCoder this incredible game as an AGA edition, was based on the old Atari and Amiga ports with some stuff stolen from Fabien Sanglard's excellent Chocolate Duke port. Furthermore you will need an AGA/RTG Amiga  with a 68060 processor,  AHI installed (v4.18 highly recommended for real 68k users), 3.1 ROMS (3.0 ROMS may cause it to run slowly) and a copy of the PC Duke Nukem 3D data files (must be the Atomic version)

  1. 060 + RTG .. uhh .. verily a port and not a native code.

    1. Duke3D needed a fast 486 or Pentium for best performance, an 060 makes sense, I doubt it would run on anything less even if it was "native code"

    3. Amiga 1200 -- that's got 4 times the power of a 500 which can pull off Grind.
