NIGHTSHIFT SKEDADDLE ZX - A rather lovely looking arcade-style ladder maze race game for the ZX Spectrum

Fancy playing a rather lovely looking game that's been released just recently? Then come and check out Nightshift Skedaddle, a new arcade-style ladder maze race game for the ZX Spectrum 48K developed by mavtherave as a sequel to Scrapyard Skedaddle. As a personal project focused on learning game development, the creator handled the MPAGD scripting, art, and design to produce this functional, polished title despite coding challenges. The game reflects a passion for classic aesthetics, with the developer hoping ZX Spectrum enthusiasts enjoy this solo-coded project.

Willow’s bustling biscuit factory has been thrown into chaos after a midnight invasion by the notorious Rat Gang, who entered through a mysterious portal and ate unstable magical cheese. The gluttonous pests halted all machinery and scattered biscuits across the building, leaving only the Magic Item Generator running. To save her business, Willow must navigate the stalled conveyors and climb service ladders to retrieve her lost stock in this maze-like factory, all while dodging the frenzied rodents before making her grand escape.
  • Designed as a short, simple, and nostalgic "home port" of a fictional 1980s arcade title, Nightshift Skeddadle ZX offers a quick retro experience perfect for a rainy afternoon.
