As I'll be with family this weekend, I thought I'd finish off with a rather gorgeous looking game that fuses a 2D Metroidvania with Diablo like ARPG mechanics, developed with full DX11 in mind, plus OpenGL and 64bit support! This is ' Corpses 'N Souls ' by Side Scroll Studios, a massive in your face eye candy game with next gen 2D HD graphics. Featuring combat, defence, harvesting, corpses, souls, crafting, spells, abilities, tactics, adventuring, collecting loot, progression, stealth and a unique gameplay experience!

Infernax - 8-bit inspired ARPG Kickstarter success

The retro theme just wont die and not that I'm complaining, but it's great to see modern games having a retro flavour and smashing their way through a Kickstarter success. That's exactly what has happened with Berzerk Studio's latest game 'Infernax'; an 8bit flavored horror ARPG that looks a little bit like Castlevania but with lots of lovely gore.

A new multi-style of game by developers Eyeshock, is currently going through a kickstarter, and with what it has on offer, it might be worth a pledge! This is Cymbil Spellcraft, a story driven action RPG for both single player and co-op multiplayer gaming. But that's not all, as it also hopes to give new rpg game designers the tools to create new adventures with a Cymbil toolset. The developers have created a game from the inspiration of legacy RPG's such as Secret of Mana and other such well known classics, so it could be a pretty fun experience!
