Adventure Jam - If you love Adventure games, then play over 165 of them!

During the early part of this month, I gave you the heads up for a new game Jam, that sent Adventurers drooling across Facebook and a little towards Twitter. Anyone remembering the game The Secret of Monkey Island or even Simon the Sorcerer, was rather pleased to learn of the ' Adventure Jam ', which gave YOU the gamer, a chance to create and show off your very own special adventure! In fact with still 24 days to go before voting ends, 165 games have been uploaded so far for all to enjoy!

GBJAM 4 - Game Jolt game development jam in a Game Boy style

If creating C64 games for the 2015 C64 16KB Cartridge Game Development Competition isn't to your liking, then we have just the #GBJAM for you. It is of course Game Jolt's 'GBJAM 4', in which people around the world have been given the opportunity to create any game they wish, as long as it looks like a Game Boy game in 4 colours, with a screen resolution of 160px x 144px. So if you've got the creativity and want to have a go, make sure to place your entry from August 8st - August 18th, with closing dates by August 18th at 23:59.

Red Olympus - Retro inspired shooter in glorious CGA ( Recommended )

The Gravedigger gave me the heads up in my email today to check out his latest action packed retro
inspired first person shooter called Red Olympus - A CGA Death Rampage. Honouring those classic first person shooters such as Wolfenstein, Red Olympus has a great visual style with chiptune music in a mission to find and kill Ovsky, a russian criminal leader who turned the south of The City into his own domain.

Critical Annihilation - Mass destructive Voxels!

Critical Annihilation by Devoga is an action packed free Voxel game with plenty of firepower and rocket propelled explosions. Although not a final release and a test of the engine, it is awesome to the core as you kill enemies and watch their bloody gibblets splatter all over the ground. The game also features some of the best voxel explosions I've seen especially after a rocket attack.
