Lilly's Saga - MSXdev22 Winner for Gameplay, Graphics and Sound is getting a big box edition! (Reserves are open)

It feels like it was only just yesterday that we announced the release of the incredible MSX 2 game of 'Lilly's Saga' by Fabulous 8bit. A game that didn't just become a highlight of the MSX 2 community, but also as a winner for Gameplay, Graphics and Sound in the MSXdev'22 competition. Well have we got some great news for you! As although the game is still available to download and enjoy, from what we've just been told through Facebook, the game is also going to be getting a BIG BOX edition....Oh and you can reserve your copy right now!

Ambermoon open source remake in progress of a fantastic CRPG! (PC/Windows)

Originally released in 1993 for the Amiga by Thalion Software, Ambermoon was the second part of an unfinished trilogy and sequel to Amberstar that was only released in Germany. In was an incredible RPG for its time, and featured 3D graphics that were considered revolutionary for the Amiga, but sadly for the company it couldn't save them from collapse.

Raid Over Moscow - An all time classic has finally arrived on the Amiga!

April is going all out with the great news, as if you think Fix It Felix Jr. for the C64 was a rather special announcement, then Raid Over Moscow on the Amiga will have your jaws hitting the floor. Yes indeed this amazing 8bit game of which we have announced as coming to the Amiga, has finally been released by Pixelglass Games; a great game that was originally released in the early 80's for the C64, Atari 8-bit, Amstrad CPC, BBC Micro, ZX Spectrum and Apple II.

Ghosts 'n Demons - Glorious Ghosts 'n Goblins fan game gets an update

It's once again an awful day in the UK, but that didn't stop us from writing this rather eye opening news for the PC. As we've just found out that the 'Ghosts 'n Demons' game, which is a 30th anniversary fan game to that of the classic Ghosts 'n Goblins, has been updated to v1.8.0 with further improvements and or bug fixes by BonusJZ. In this game you once again play as Sir Arthur, a knight on a quest against evil forces. You must rescue Princess Prin Prin's who has been kidnapped and fight your way through dozens of enemies such as Demons, Ghosts and Zombies!

Pinball Dreams CPC - HOT NEWS as fantastic Amiga classic on the Amstrad CPC is finally here!

At the end of 2016-2017 we announced the fantastic Amiga pinball game ' Pinball Dreams ' by Digital Illusions CE in 1992 had finally been made available as a preview download on the Amstrad CPC by none other than Batman Group, creators of the scene demo Batman Forever. Well here we are again as we are pleased to tell you that after much excitement and global Amstrad load ups of the brilliant preview, Batman Group has finally announced that they have released an almost accurate gaming experience to that of the Amiga 500 called " Pinball Dreams CPC "

It was only just last month we gave you a heads up, to let you know that Oscar Celestini Retrogames ' Black Jewel ' was released on itch.io, as a PC game created in a C64 style with lovely retro styled pixel art and hard to master gameplay. Well you'll be pleased to know this very eye opening tribute to Storm Warrior from the C64, is not only a game you should play, but it's going to be released on Steam TODAY!

Trawling through our must play PC games list, I happened to come across a game I think will excite even our most hardy of C64 readers. Called ' Black Jewel ' and developed by Oscar Celestini Retrogames, this is a PC game created in a C64 style with lovely retro styled pixel art and hard to master gameplay. In it you play as a barbarian warrior named as Ryan on a quest to recover the Black Jewel, stolen by Darkor.

SORCERESS - A rather nice ZX Spectrum AGD maze shooter adventure by Payndz

There's a game for all systems this week, as the ZX Spectrum has received a new game in the form of an adventure shooter called ' SORCERESS ' by Payndz, creator of CYBERMANIA!. This game developed in AGD, which according to the developer was an annoyance to create as AGD kept on running out of memory and glitching, stars a powerful sorceress who must rescue her love from an evil necromancer. You must traverse the maze, find the keys to unlock barriers and finally defeat the undead with a few magic bolts!

The Treasure of Lumos - Jaime Grilo's brand new ZX Spectrum game released

It's time to put aside the remasters and ports and look towards the ZX Spectrum, as Jaime Grilo has released his homebrew platformer ' The Treasure of Lumos ' for the speccy! In this fine little platformer, you play as a treasure seeker on a quest to find the treasure in the Cave of Lumos, but beware not only do you have to find 35 from 40 lootable objects to win the game, you'll also have to deal with traps and some very strange enemies!

Unknown Realm - A drool worthy 8-bit styled RPG via Kickstarter campaign is a success

This did not come as a surprise to me, considering how good this retro styled RPG looked for both C64 and PC, as Unknown Realm - The Siege Perilous by Stirring Dragon Games is a Kickstarter success raising $65,887 pledged of $65,536 goal (19 days still to go). Again as mentioned before this is an RPG that has the look of one of the best RPG's ever released on the C64 as Ultima IV, while also featuring a huge open world, secret locations, a day and night cycle, seasonal monsters and much much more to make this a truly epic sounding game!
