Well this is fantastic news especially if you had either an Amiga or PC(DOS), as Mhatxotic is working on a remake of the classic strategy and puzzle-like game called 'Diggers'. A 90's title that was developed and published by Millennium Interactive for the Amiga and PC. A game in which the player takes control of a mining team excavating a planet for precious minerals. To coincide with this news, of which I'm excited to try out later, the developer has provided the full details below.
Stunt Car Racer Remake - Fan based PC remake in the works of one of Geoff Crammonds finest games
Stunt Car Racer was one of the best stunt style racers for the Amiga, and one of Geoff Crammonds finest games. Yet what made it so good was not just the feeling of speed, but the thrill of accelerating into the sky and coming back down with an almighty crack, especially if you ended up missing the track altogether such as on the Ski Jump. So you can probably see why I'm just that little bit excited, as a fan by the name of omenoid and ptitSeb, has released a new PC remake of the game. A new version that was originally sourced from D. Vernon and A. Copland's version released back in 2019
Jixa Lady Tiger - This PC platformer with a C64 styled palette looks super cool!
Get ready for some great Monday news! As Liqmatrix was kind enough to inform us in our inbox, about the latest release of Jixa Lady Tiger by Oscar Celestini SHOP. A game that isn't just a nod to Vixen, which was a platformer published by Martech in 1988 for the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64, MS-DOS, and ZX Spectrum. But this PC game looks super cool as it was developed in a C64 styled palette. H.E.R.O - A cool PC remake of a classic now on itch io by Langford Productions!
Heads up ' H.E.R.O' gamers! As Liqmatrix recently informed us, that 'H.E.R.O, which is a game that was released for the Atari 800/2600, ColecoVision, C64, C128, and Sinclair ZX Spectrum, has been remade for PC, and available to download through itch io by Langford Productions . A classic game which puts you in control of Roderrick Hero, on a mission to search the cave system for the trapped miners of Mount Leone. A Very Hairy Christmas - A modern HD debut of Mr Hair for the PC by Langford Productions
We've just received word from our good friend Richard of Langford Productions, of a new PC game that has been released called 'A Very Hairy Christmas'. A game which doesn't just have nods to other classic games from the 80's such as Pac-Man and PSSST, but it's a rather lovely game for the upcoming festive season. Ambermoon.net - Open source remake of a fantastic CRPG gets a brand new 1.9.4 release!
Originally released in 1993 for the Amiga by Thalion Software, Ambermoon was the second part of an unfinished trilogy and sequel to Amberstar that was only released in Germany. In was an incredible RPG for its time, and featured 3D graphics that were considered revolutionary for the Amiga, but sadly for the company it couldn't save them from collapse. Well today's news is another special heads up for fans of this great game, as Pyrdacor has released the latest Ambermoon.net update of version 1.9.4: An open source Linux, Mac, Pi4 and Windows remake of this fantastic CRPG.

It had a strong Hollywood B movie vibe as you tried to prove that giant ants were real and convince the mayor to call upon the national guard to fight. Featuring a mix of adventuring, arcade and shooter game play and developed for a multitude of systems such as the Amiga, it is still regarded as an all time classic. Well if you were a fan of the game, TimRachor has just informed us, that his It Came From the Desert inspiration called 'It Returned To The Desert' has been released via Steam.

Well this came as a complete surprise to us, as if you remember playing the great city builders of Pharaoh and the expansion Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile by Sierra Entertainment. You'll be overjoyed to learn that Triskell Interactive with publishing by Dotemu, has released their latest game of Pharaoh: A New Era; A remake of the 1999 classic featuring a full graphical overhaul of over 50 missions and over 100 hours of quality game play! Vradark's Revenge - A new Action RPG to enjoy for your PC and ZX Spectrum Next!

Elf Spirit Hunters - A short Amiga/Windows Mini game from Earok!
Even though Christmas has come and gone (that was quick!), there's one game that might be worth a play and it's Earok's latest Amiga and Windows mini game of 'Self Spirit Hunters'. While the game wont win any awards for best game of 2023, it's still worth a play as it has inspirations to Ghostbusters and was created for the Toybox Jam 4. For those of you who have followed Indie Retro News throughout the years, you have probably noticed that we mainly feature retro games and PC(Windows) based news. But today I was contacted about a brand new emulator update for Windows, MacOs and Linux, that had some rather interesting features which could make it one of the best emulators to be used at home your PC. The emulator I'm going to mention is ' Retro Virtual Machine ' which is currently at version 2.1.0.
Exploding Fist Remake - A remake of the C64 classic "The Way of the Exploding Fist"
Here's a game I remember fondly it's ' The Way of the Exploding Fist' ; a 1980s fighting game published by Melbourne House that appeared on many different systems such as the Amstrad, C16, C64, ZX Spectrum, BBC Micro, and even the Acorn! This rather famous game which was very similar to Karate Champ even featured gameplay as a series of one-on-one karate matches. Well if you too remember this fine game back in the day, you may be interested to know as thanks to Liqmatrix contacting just recently, he has told us that Coyney74 has released an update to his work in progress Exploding Fist Remake for PC and Linux.
Immortal Ka - A great nod to the 16bit classics and it's only a PC prototype
I said to myself today, I seriously need a damn good entertaining indie game to play that would keep me occupied for more than just a few mins. Well the good news is, I've found it with 'Immortal Ka'. However Immortal Ka by Josyan is more than just an indie game, it's an indie game as a nod to the Arcade classics such as Ghosts 'n Goblins and even Super Big Karnak. Thankfully even though the game is just a prototype from a cancelled game, the team behind Immortal Ka has atleast made it available to play right now.
