Panic! GX - A 1986 game by Roland A. Waddilove arrives on the Amstrad Plus/GX4000 by ShaCPC

While this might be the last news article for today as it's just too hot in the UK, ShaCPC has officially launched Panic! GX, an updated preservation of a classic 1980s retro title optimized for the Amstrad CPC Plus and GX4000. The project updates a vintage game originally created in 1986 by British programmer Roland A. Waddilove. Waddilove initially coded the title for the prominent UK publication Computing With The Amstrad. The game later reached international audiences when Amstrad Semanal magazine published a translated Spanish version in Spain.

Well this is fantastic news for the weekend, as homebrew developer AnthonyFlack has launched Bomb Jack GX, an incredible new arcade port specifically enhanced for the Amstrad CPC Plus and GX4000 console. This fresh release streamlines the experience compared to its predecessor, Bomb Jack Extra Sugar, by stripping away the lesser-used extra modes in favor of a pure, focused recreation of the original arcade classic. By targeting the unique hardware capabilities of the Amstrad Plus line and the GX4000, the game delivers massive technical improvements over standard CPC versions with rich visuals, fluid performance persistent highscores!

Q*Bert - An Arcade classic is coming to the Amstrad CPC Plus, with a beta now available!

In 1982 Gottlieb released a very famous game that had an orange character with a long snout as a nose, it just had to be the isometric arcade game with puzzle elements of ' Q*Bert '. It was so popular in fact it appeared on many systems such as the Atari 2600 and the C64 with a cameo appearance in Wreck-It Ralph. So why is this charming Arcade game appearing on IndieRetroNews? When I was a youngster I had the pleasure of playing the fantastic platformer of Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Megadrive. Harrier Attack Reloaded - An enhanced classic for the Amstrad CPC Plus by Chris Perver

I never thought I'd see the day that an Amsoft game, more especially Harrier Attack, would be getting an enhanced edition. It is one of the best games I have ever played on the Amstrad CPC 464, and to see it remade for the Amstrad CPC Plus by Chris Perver fills me with retro joy. Originally Harrier Attack was released in 1984 and the concept of the game was to fly a British Harrier Jet across the landscape on bombing runs destroying both enemy buildings and aircraft.

Goldorak - A kick ass Shoot 'em up by Zisquier for the Amstrad CPC plus and GX4000!

Amstrad GX4000 owners might like this latest news story that's just been sent to us by Saberman, as if you're looking for a new Shoot em up to play, then Zisquier has you covered with his brand new Amstrad Plus and GX4000 game called 'Goldorak'; a new game which is a nod to the classic anime of Grendizer; a TV anime series produced by Dynamic Productions and animated by Toei Animation airing October 5, 1975 to February 27,1977. Pang+ - An enhanced version of a brilliant Arcade game for the Amstrad Plus and GX4000!

In 1989 the Mitchell Corporation released the top of its class Arcade game ' Pang ', which was later ported over to a multitude of systems by Ocean including the C64, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum Amiga, MS-DOS and Atari ST. In this up to two player game you had to destroy bouncing balloons terrorizing global landscapes, but had to be really careful as most of them when shot split off into smaller but even more balloons! Now thanks to SyX and RedAngel, an enhanced version of this classic game, has been released for the Amstrad CPC Plus and GX4000!

Kung Fu Master GX4000 Reskin 2023 - A graphically overhauled Amstrad CPC+ and GX4000 version of a classic 80's game!

Those of you looking for some fresh weekly news for the Amstrad have come to the right place, as both Saberman and Xenomorph have informed us of a brand new remake/reskin that has been released for the CPC+ and GX4000 called "Kung Fu Master GX4000 Reskin 2023" Now if you remember the 1980's game of Kung Fu Master which was released in the Arcades and later the Atari 2600, C64 and other 8bit's, then you really should give this overhauled version a go! This news article was just too good not to be written up, as if you are looking to play a game that's full of eye candy and gameplay on your Amstrad Plus or GX4000, then it might be worth keeping an eye on Praline Software's upcoming title of Bubble Quest; A game in which you must guide your bubble around a maze like screen while avoiding everything that is deadly to reach the exit! Sente Mini Golf - A new crazy golf type game is coming to your Amstrad CPC/Plus

Let me be honest with you, I can't stand Golf! I never enjoyed watching it or even playing it, the only game I enjoyed playing was Mini Golf as it was just way more fun, especially with the family. So to see a Mini Golf game coming to the Amstrad CPC and Plus range by Copper, I got just a little bit excited! While we don't know a lot about the game other than what Xyphoe said below, we do at least have a gameplay video for you to watch of the game that's in development.

Now if you remember the 1980's game of Yie Ar Kung-Fu, which was released in the Arcades and later the MSX, Famicom/NES, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, BBC Micro and Acorn Electron. Then you'll be pleased to know that this is a brand new remaster of the Amstrad version featuring much higher detail for the GX/Plus range.

In the early 90's I had the pleasure of playing the mind blowing platformer Sonic the Hedgehog on both the Sega Megadrive and Sega Master System. Pinball Dreams CPC - HOT NEWS as fantastic Amiga classic on the Amstrad CPC is finally here!

At the end of 2016-2017 we announced the fantastic Amiga pinball game ' Pinball Dreams ' by Digital Illusions CE in 1992 had finally been made available as a preview download on the Amstrad CPC by none other than Batman Group, creators of the scene demo Batman Forever. Well here we are again as we are pleased to tell you that after much excitement and global Amstrad load ups of the brilliant preview, Batman Group has finally announced that they have released an almost accurate gaming experience to that of the Amiga 500 called " Pinball Dreams CPC "

Way back in 1989 a designer by the name of Akira Sakuma released a fantastic Arcade shooter platformer game in which you controlled an enhanced Ape transformed from a Human that could shoot energy balls from his mouth defeating strange creatures and finally defeat an evil Wizard.  It was a really good game that had a number of ports such as the NES, Sega Mega Drive, Atari Lynx, Atari ST, Amiga and Commodore 64. So you'll be pleased to know that thanks to a heads up via our Facebook page, we have learnt that this great game could be coming to the Amstrad CPC Plus!
