After all this time through many months of growing excitement, we are pleased to announce that Vblank Entertainment, the developer behind the action-adventure 8bit styled Grand Theft Auto parody with 80's and 90's pop culture ' Retro City Rampage ', has just announced that Shakedown Hawaii will be released today for Playstation 4, PSVita, Nintendo Switch and PC!

Battle Princess Madelyn - Ghouls ‘n Ghosts inspired spectacular is coming this fall

In 1988 Capcom released one of the finest Arcade games ever to grace the gaming scene, and that game was the incredible Ghouls 'n Ghosts which appeared on lots of different systems. It is a game that if you haven't played it, you are seriously missing out! So as an inspiration to GNG, the developer Casual bit Games has announced that the gorgeous upcoming game of Battle Princess Madelyn is not only coming as from this Fall for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, PS Vita and WiiU but there's a new trailer to view as well!

Timespinner - A lovely platformer with retro aesthetics is launched!

Moments ago thanks to a heads up on Facebook, we have just been told Lunar Ray Games with publishing rights by Chucklefish, has now launched their eagerly awaited action platformer game ' Timespinner '  for the PC, Mac, Linux, PS4 & PS Vita. This game which has been in our wishlist for sometime now, tells a story of murder and time travel, as playing as Lunais you control time and must take revenge on the evil Lachiem Empire who has murdered her family!

Life of Pixel - Multiple era fun in this upcoming Playstation 4/Vita release

Some years back we featured a fantastic game that had all of my childhood wrapped up into one neat little platformer, and that game was Life of Pixel by the developer Super Icon. It just looked so damn cool as it had a unique style to it that no other platformer had done at the time. It was a game dedicated to the brilliance of classic gaming machines and had you as a blocked pixel, traversing through many levels of retro gaming fun spread over 13 historic systems. As you traverse the levels collecting gems, the game takes on the graphical tone as if you were playing on that very machine!

Chasm - A 2D Action Platformer with gorgeous artwork is coming July 31st, 2018!

In 2013 Bit Kid announced that their gorgeous game of Chasm had a Kickstarter success with over $152,000 pledged and was due to be released in May for PS4/Vita and PC. However that time had passed and the developers today announced the correct release date of July 31st for this incredible looking game that contains procedurally generated dungeons, loot drops, treasures, deadly enemies and tons of secrets to keep you busy!

Full Throttle Remastered - Classic Motorbike LucasArts Adventure overhaul coming 2016-17!

After a really tedious weekend so far with some poor weather thrown in as well, late Saturday has ended with an Adventurous bang from Double Fine Productions. Not only did we learn of the remaster for Day of the Tentacle, but they have also announced another all time classic game which stars none other than the famous Motorbike riding Ben from the 1995 graphic adventure game by LucasArts! That's right, it's ' Full Throttle ' which will be given a graphical remaster just like Day of the Tentacle, on both the PS4 and PlayStation Vita with a release date of 2016-17. As of yet we are not sure if it will come to the PC, but I'm sure it will.

Originally released by LucasArts in 1993 as a sequel to Ron Gilbert’s ground breaking Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle is a mind-bending, time travel, cartoon puzzle adventure game in which three unlikely friends work together to prevent an evil mutated purple tentacle from taking over the world. It was and still is one of the best Adventure games I have ever played, so much so that I was pleased to find out today from Double Fine Productions that Day of the Tentacle Remastered edition which features all new hand-drawn, high resolution artwork, with remastered audio, music and sound effects will be coming to Windows, OSX, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita early 2016!

Iconoclasts - An action platformer of gorgeous pixels!

I'm a huge sucker for gorgeous pixels in games, especially ones that have both the game play and detail which really stands out in a crowd of Indie pixels. So when we came across a game called 'Iconoclasts' by Joakim Sandberg, also known as Konjak (behind Noitu Love 1 and 2) was coming to PS4, PS Vita and up for your PC votes on Steam Greenlight, it certainly grabbed our attention. In development for the last five years, with help by Bifrost Entertainment to help finish it all up, this Action Platformer, with a touch of Metroidvania is aiming for a release in 2016 and boy does it look good!

Titan Souls - Evolution : Action adventure gets a demo and release date!

What began as a game jam project between Mark Foster, David Fenn, and Andrew Gleeson for Ludum Dare 28 is the basis for the new Titan Souls demo, remade with the final visual style, soundtrack, sound design, and gameplay updates found in the full game. A 2d Action Adventure mix with a taste of Shadow of the Colossus, has you exploring ancient ruins, while uncovering more than twenty extraordinary and unique Titans, each with their own savage attacks. Slain! - Jaw dropping slasher Kickstarter & Steam Greenlight success!

Fantastic news for Wolf Brew Games as their hack and slash platformer 'Slain!' is a Kickstarter & Steam Greenlight success. Raising over $12,117 of a $12,000 goal with still 18 days to go and fully featured first on Indie Retro News. Slain! has stunning jaw dropping visuals and lots of bloody effects that would make even the horror fans amongst us look upon in delight.

MiniFlake - Retro 1-Bit Dungeon Crawler (Help get this on Steam) :o)

miniFlake is a retro 1-bit mod-able rogue-like dungeon crawler, that is currently being developed for PC, Mac Vita and PS Vita by Wolfgang Wozniak and his wolfgame development team. The game is set in the SilverQuest universe with a black & white art style reminiscent of old D+D monster manuals and players handbooks while gameplay is influenced by pen and paper RPG's with dungeons being procedurally generated like the classic dungeon crawler Rogue.
