Dark Keep - A creepy rogue-like for the Atari XL/XE entered into the ABBUC Software Contest 2022

Here on Indie Retro News we do love writing about the Atari XL/XE, especially with fabulous games being mentioned such as the Prince of Persia port and even Outrun. miniFlake is a retro 1-bit mod-able rogue-like dungeon crawler, that is currently being developed for PC, Mac Vita and PS Vita by Wolfgang Wozniak and his wolfgame development team. The game is set in the SilverQuest universe with a black & white art style reminiscent of old D+D monster manuals and players handbooks while gameplay is influenced by pen and paper RPG's with dungeons being procedurally generated like the classic dungeon crawler Rogue.

Shattered Planet - A survival adventure rogue-like set on a dangerous world

We've just been informed by Kitfox Games about their new survival adventure roguelike, Shattered Planet that is now available to buy on Steam. Set in a futuristic world and a side mash of turn-based RPG, you'll be battling your way across an ever changing landscape that's different every time you play. According to the developers you are tasked with the research of alien wildlife for science, but this will not be easy as some of the nasty critters will fight back.

The Curious Expedition - Colorful rogue like expedition sim in the 19th century!

Developers MaschinenMensch are based in Berlin, Germany and are creating a roguelike expedition-sim that takes place in the late 19th century. The game focuses on exploration in a procedurally generated world where you must plan and equip your explorers, manage resources, interact and trade with villagers and tribes, loot ancient temple ruins and fight your way through a vast assortment of dinosaurs, zombies, beasts and cannibals.
