I know our readers like great finds so here's one that I think you'll like, it's an in development remake of Maniac Mansion by Edison Interactive called ' The Night of the Meteor '.Originally Maniac Mansion was released way back in 1987 as a graphic adventure by Lucasfilm Games for the C64, Apple II and DOS, it was highly praised and even today is still regarded as one of the best adventure games of its time. So it stands to reason why a team of people have decided to remake the game in much higher quality detail.

Day of the Tentacle - Amiga Adventuring CD32 Alpha release!

Originally released by LucasArts in 1993 as a sequel to Ron Gilbert’s ground breaking Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle is a mind-bending, time travel, cartoon puzzle adventure game in which three unlikely friends work together to prevent an evil mutated purple tentacle from taking over the world. It was just a shame that this amazing adventure with world renown was never officially ported over to the Amiga, unless of course you downloaded the unofficial Amiga AGA version of DOTT which is linked (here). But this news release isn't about the PC version or the Amiga AGA version, but a very early work in progress Amiga CD32 release, that thanks to our good friend Earok has been released as an Alpha.

It was and still is one of the best Adventure games I have ever played, so much so that I was pleased to find out today from Double Fine Productions that Day of the Tentacle Remastered edition which features all new hand-drawn, high resolution artwork, with remastered audio, music and sound effects will be coming to Windows, OSX, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita early 2016!
