Sales Discontinued - A high-spec Adventure MSX2 game entered into the MSXdev 22 competition!

We've just been contacted through both Facebook and Twitter that if you head on over to the MSXDev competition page, you can download or play online the latest game release of Sales Discontinued. A new Adventure MSX2 game by NOP in which the website says is not only a rather unique game for a unique system, but it has extraordinary hardware requirements. To coincide with this news, you can view the latest screenshots below and play the game linked online via File-Hunter.

Yes if you've been looking forward to this Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight success, then you too can now enjoy an adventure spanning through fantasy and science fiction!

I've always been an Adventure gamer on both my Amiga and PC, and have such fond memories of games such as The Secret of Monkey Island, Simon the Sorcerer, Fable, Kings Quest and even the Quest for Glory series. So to hear that a new Adventure game with a fantasy twist known as ' Guard Duty ' by Sick Chicken Studios has got a brand new trailer, I was just a little excited!

Code name Hell Squad - Amiga CD to HD as a playable sci-fi action adventure!

No sooner had we mentioned DamienD's Amiga CD to Hard Drive conversion of the high quality isometric game 'Wasted Dreams', that another game was also converted over and that was the action adventure ' Code name Hell Squad ', which again was also developed by the same team Digital Dreams Entertainment and released in 2000. Shockingly enough some say this is one of the last ever games released commercially on the system and if it wasn't for these developers contacting the original dev's of this game, when it was known as Hellpigs by Classica Entertainment (link), it probably would've never seen the light of day!

Project Goat - A sci-fi Amstrad CPC adventure is in development by DefectoDigital

Defecto Digital are back with another game, as after releasing a game called ELF which was an adventure based on the arcade version released by Ocean Software in 1992, and then Heroes Rescue, which star'd the famous character Fry from Futurama. DefectoDigital is now turning their attention towards a sci-fi adventure game for the Amstrad CPC, with help by Rafa32gr and ErrazKing. Although the only notes are in Spanish, it looks as if it's going to be a point and click variety and possibly called Project Goat.

Sidekick High - Charming adventure inspired by Sierra and LucasArts games coming 1st July!

Earlier today CMMN CLRS contacted us about their in development Adventure game ' Sidekick High ', which is set to launch 1st July 2017 for both PC and Mac.Originally Sidekick High, developed using Visionaire Studio, was made as a contribution to the Adventure Jam 2017 #AdvJam2017. The game featured some rather useless super heroes with their only power being backwards talking, coffee spitting, snail turning and ultra sweating abilities. But hey, at least the Sidekick High School can give them an opportunity to train future heroes, that's if it wasn't a death trap!

Peridium - A brilliant Adventure game with a classic horror movie vibe

I'm sure there's not a person out there that hasn't heard of John Carpenter's 'The Thing'; a 1980's horror film starring Kurt Russell set in an Antarctic research station against a horrific parasitic extraterrestrial lifeform. But would you like to play a game that feels very similar, and is an adventure point and click game by Powerhoof? You would good! Because here is 'Peridium', a short horror game where you play as Dr James Turner, who is about to have his life turned upside down stationed at an Antarctic research base studying ancient fungal organisms buried deep below the ice.

The Darkside Detective - Spooky Doorway's Paranormal adventure coming July 27th!

Deja Vu & Uninvited +1DW [easyflash] - Nostalgia's latest release contains C64 HORROR!

Nostalgia are on form to end the week as they've just released two classic C64 adventure games as an easyflash, with one of them being very much in the horror category; 'Deju Vu and Uninvited'. Originally developed by ICOM Simulations and published by Mindscape in the late 80's using the MacVenture engine, these two adventure games were first ported over from the MAC and featured a point and click first person interface, with item collection and a number of logical puzzles that must be solved to continue.
