Guard Duty - Charming 2D fantasy adventure game gets a brand new trailer!

I've always been an Adventure gamer on both my Amiga and PC, and have such fond memories of games such as The Secret of Monkey Island, Simon the Sorcerer, Fable, Kings Quest and even the Quest for Glory series. So to hear that a new Adventure game with a fantasy twist known as ' Guard Duty ' by Sick Chicken Studios has got a brand new trailer, I was just a little excited!

Legion - Amiga Polish RPG now free PC playable

Put aside your Dragon Age, turn away from the Dragonborn in Skyrim and look towards the PC playable release of Legion; an Amiga 1996 RPG by Polish developer Gobi. According to some, one of the best Polish RPG's of it's time, a fantasy strategy game with elements of role-playing genre. For anyone that hasn't played it, like myself, The Company.PL has now released the Amiga version as fully PC playable.

The Lords of Midnight - One of the greatest Adventure/War game's remade is now available!

Info : I'm sure many of us know that last year Mike Singleton, author of Lords Of Midnight passed away and many of us were deeply saddened by this news. So it's great to know that a Remake is now available and I think many of us should try it out, just to relive how great a game this was and in respect of Mike Singleton. Lords of Midnight is an Adventure/War game which starts with four characters (Luxor the Moonprince, Rorthron the Wise, Corleth the Fey, and Morkin), and then has the option to recruit up to twenty eight further Lords (Ithrorn, The Utarg of Utarg, Blood, Xajorkith, Shadows, and so on) to the cause in the quest to destroy Doomdark, the Witchking of Midnight. The game kinda has a Lord of the Rings flavor, recruiting armies and lords to fight the Evil Bad guy. The game for it's time featured a groundbreaking technique called landscaping to depict the lands of Midnight from a first-person perspective. Landscaping had a 3D effect with pre-scaled images of mountains, forests, buildings, etc. To create the impression of a perspective-correct landscape scene, available from a viewpoint of 8 points of the compass hence Landscaping. This title appeared on a multitude of systems including ZX Spectrum, C64 and the Amstrad CPC, in many magazines it was voted with high scores and even a game of the year. So what are you waiting for?
