In 1987 Lucasfilms released the critically acclaimed graphic adventure of Maniac Mansion. It had for it's time fantastic graphics, animation, humour and story telling with its point-and-click interface becoming a standard feature in the genre. Also not long ago the same team behind the game Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick even smashed their Kickstarter goal for an adventure in that very same style called ' Thimbleweed Park '.
