Could Konami's hit game of Contra be coming to the Amiga via Neeso Games?

From 1987 onwards Konami published the mighty game of Contra, which was also known as Gryzor on many home computer systems such as the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and Commodore 64. It is regarded as one of the best run and gun action games ever created and is also highly regarded on the CPC. So for any of you that remember the game, we've just been given a poke via twitter, that Neeso Games who is also behind the brilliant Super Delivery Boy, looks to be working on a Contra game but for the Amiga!

As if you have been following Neeso Games upcoming Amiga game of Jackal, which is a remake of the NES top-down shooter of the same name, graphically enhanced to take advantage of the Amiga (OCS-ECS) hardware. Neeso Games could be working on a Bionic Commando clone on the Amiga using the Scorpion Engine!

Even though Indie Retro News has been flooded with new game updates, we have another Amiga news story to share with you all. As if you have been following Neeso Games upcoming Amiga game of Jackal, which is a remake of the NES top-down shooter of the same name, then you might be interested to know the same developer *might* be working on a Bionic Commando clone on the Amiga with the Scorpion Engine. Although he does state "Basic movement is there, now I have to replace the jump with the hook mechanic, it's going to be tricky :)".

A new WIP Commodore Amiga platformer from NEESO Games gets another beta update

It was only just recently on Indie Retro News that we informed you about the beta release of NeesoGames unnamed platformer; an upcoming Amiga game that features charming detail which is being created using Earok's Scorpion Engine. Well today thanks to an early heads up from Per Ola, we have been told that this game which has been tested on an Amiga 500 1mb and up, has just got a new beta which is more feature packed compared to the one we mentioned the other day.

A new Commodore Amiga platformer is coming from NEESO Games

Amiga Bill said to me the other day with a chuckle that yesterdays news is old news already, and yes when it comes to the Amiga mentions throughout this year so far, I completely agree with him! Well anyway here's a new game which looks like it could be good fun when it gets an eventual release on the Commodore Amiga, is NEESO GAMES upcoming Platformer which is being developed using Earok's Scorpion Engine.
