Ruff in Trouble - A high quality nod to RUFF N TUMBLE for the Atari XL/XE (revised version)

One of the best games to come out of the ABBUC Software Contest 2024 for the Atari XL/XE, was 'Ruff in Trouble'. A nod to a game first released for the Amiga by Renegade in 1994, and developed by Wunderkind called 'Ruff N Tumble': A classic action packed Amiga platformer which is still incredible even to this day. Well here's some news for you if you have an Atari XL/XE, as shanti77 has released a revised edition of Ruff in Trouble for the Atari XL/XE, a new version with changes including background music.

Gacek - Another Bomb Jack port for the Atari XL/XE gets a tease

I can still remember in the late 80's on my Amstrad CPC 464 playing the brilliant Arcade port ' Bomb Jack '. It is a game that required you the player to high jump and float about getting rid of all the bombs on the screen before they are used to blow up historic places of interest, which is made more difficult by the enemies on screen. It was such an awesome game that even though a fan port of the game was released on the Atari XL/XE coded by Krzysztof Gora in 2008, another version looks to be in the works and this one is called Gacek and developed by Shanti77.

Bosconian - 1980's multi-directional scrolling shooter gets an Atari 8bit port

It's the Atari's time to shine as another game has been given the port treatment and it's the Arcade game ' Bosconian ' developed by Namco all the way back in 1981. Currently available as a work in progress for the Atari 8bit by shanti77. Bosconian is a multi-directional scrolling shooter arcade game with similarities to Star Control, it requires you as the space ship pilot to score as many points as possible by destroying enemy missiles and bases while also avoiding asteroids, mines and other such ship destroying objects.
