One of the best games to come out of the ABBUC Software Contest 2024 for the Atari XL/XE, was 'Ruff in Trouble'. A nod to a game first released for the Amiga by Renegade in 1994, and developed by Wunderkind called 'Ruff N Tumble': A classic action packed Amiga platformer which is still incredible even to this day. Well here's some news for you if you have an Atari XL/XE, as shanti77 has released a revised edition of Ruff in Trouble for the Atari XL/XE, a new version with changes including background music.

Another early heads up and yet again a weekend news story as thanks to Earok who was kind enough to give me a shout out at 5.30am (bad Earok :p), he has told us Raptor Games has shown off a very early work in progress teaser video of ' Lost Asylum '; A high quality 50HZ run 'n gun game, that is being developed using the Scorpion Engine as a love letter to that classic 1994 game Ruff N Tumble for the Commodore Amiga.

Another early heads up and no not Doom related, as thanks to petsasjim1who was kind enough to reply in one of our articles, he has told us Padman and team have released an early work in progress game of ' Rodney vs Kfc ' for the Atari ST(e). What makes this game stand out over other Atari ST platformers mentioned recently, is the fact that rodney vs kfc uses elements of the all time classic game Ruff N Tumble, which includes the main character sprite seen in the video below.
