Another C64 game has appeared and rather than the usual platformers we've come across, this one requires only the skill of patience and timing for the ultimate of high scores. Titled as ' T-Rex 64 ', this new game developed by Maciej Małecki, Zuza Małecka and Ola Małecka as a conversion from the Chrome Easter Egg. Is a new C64 game whereby playing as a dinosaur, you have to jump over lots of painful objects and duck under every bird to beat your previous high score.

Let's Go! - Platform runner for the Amstrad CPC in development
It's nice to see the Amstrad CPC getting much needed attention by game developers, as this isn't the first game we've come across this year on the 1980's system. Developed by A Bearded Dragonz Production (Morri) using AGAS and ESD; Let's Go! is a platformer with a difference! A Run and Stop platformer, that forces to the player to hit the space bar to stop him from running into obstacles, which is then limited by time. The longer you hold, the less time you have to complete a level.
The Intergalactic Trashman - quirky space explorer gets a kickstarter
Glovecat studio is presenting us their new kickstarter to raise funds to complete their new game, The Intergalactic Trashman, a very well polished space shooter, platform, puzzle and runner game. Yes, that's right, there are a number of nods to gaming influences as well as some obvious movie ones too, but I'll leave you to view the trailer to spot them all.
KUNOI - A speed runner that wont let you stop gets a Kickstarter
7osix contacted us through Facebook about his latest Kickstarter of 'KUNOI', which is set to give speed running games a kick up the rear in excellence. Now for those of you who don't know what a speed runner is, it's a constantly side scrolling game that forces the player to make choices as quick as possible or the risk of death. Unlike most speed runners however, KUNOI takes game play mechanics from endless runners and combines them with elements from retro games. As according to the developer, The gameplay will feel familiar yet distinct with its difficulty and aesthetics.
Serious Dave - Action packed retro inspired runner free to play!
Inspired by "Dangerous Dave" and "Ruff 'n' Tumble'" from the Amiga, but with a lot of shooting, running and platform jumping involved. 'Serious Dave' is the latest top featured release by x246h00--r5 that really grabbed our attention. Even though it is still as a work in progress title and looking fantastic for such an early release, it already features 3 levels, 5 enemy types and all the weapons and upgrades you could need.
Super Bunny World - A rather cute Mario style running game
Take the game play style of Mario, add in some running and then a pinch of cute and you'll end up with Super Bunny World; an Indie platform runner game that's free to play in your browser. Collect coins, carrots, bash blocks with your head and jump on enemies in this latest free release from Hernan. Super Bunny World is a game inspired by classic platformers, reminiscent of the good old SNES era. Post your scores online or try to unlock all 10 achievements! Also playable on through a mobile browser!
Rogus : Kingdom of the Lost Souls - Action packed pixelated release
Take a pinch of Lord of the Rings, add in a lot of action, mash it all up with lots of pixels and you'll most likely end up with Rogus: Kingdom of the Lost Souls, developed by IronDrop Studios; a new epic runner game released today. Starting off as a small iOS/Android project then turned PC through 9 months of hard work, Rogus features cool pixel graphics and fun game play as your skills are put to the test through precise jumping, aiming, dodging, shielding and spell casting.
Sienna - One touch runner with insane difficulty
Playing as Sienna the cat in a one touch runner, your only task is to run and jump through the level for as long as possible. Throughout the level there are many traps and obstacles in the way which need to be avoided, but considering the difficulty level this is nearly impossible. Thankfully blue orbs can be touched to be used as checkpoints and pressing R will restart from that last point. If you have a lack of patience and suffer from high stress levels this probably isn't the game for you. However if you love one touch running games with an insane difficulty then Sienna by Tangram Games might just be the game to play!
Bopscotch - Xbox 360 UK Indie game of the day gets a release!
For those of you who love runner games, as you try to reach the end of level as fast as possible while avoiding traps and falling, then Bopscotch developed by Leda Entertainment might just be what you need to have in your collection. Developed for the Windows Phone, Android, iOS (Mid Oct) and Xbox 360 and recently an Indie game of the day on Xbox 360, you play as a "Bopper" that bounces across multiple stages, that can both speed up, slow down, jump but can't stop.
Jack B. Nimble - Endless running fun for iOS
Sean Noonan has announced his latest game "Jack B. Nimble", an endless runner, is now available for iOS. First released for PC, Mac and Linux in that lovely game boy theme, you play as Jack as he runs and jumps across many platforms all the while whipping candles. If running to fast becomes a drain on your anxiety use the grass to slow down, but do watch out for trees as it could put you to a painful halt.
Chunky Cat - Multiplatform 2d Platform-Runner game now available
We don't get to enjoy many platform-runner style of games, so when Mandarina Games sent us word about their new game Chunky Cat, we were happy to have a play test. Currently available on iOS, Android, Amazon and Web you play as a Chunky Cat that must eat fish, pigeons or rats while avoiding enemies and traps to reach his eating goal.
Reckpunk - A weird and wonderful platform runner from Damien(dlan)
If there's one thing that stands out for me other than curious gameplay is an unusual artstyle, and when it comes to Reckpunk by Damien(dlan), a strange artistic design is certainly one of them. With a release date of September 2014 for the PC, Reckpunk features 8-bit graphics with the game play of that of a platform runner. Throughout this game your reaction counts, you must avoid obstacles and move platforms with the use of your mouse and with this design it really works. Not only is Reckpunk a great looking 8-bit styled game, which would probably look good on a Spectrum it also features fun and challenging game play.

That Bopscotch will be available for Windows Phone, Android and iOS mobile devices, and also Xbox360 this September 2014! As someone who has played Bopscotch, this is a "runner" style of platform game that everyone should play with a friend, and as you'll see from my game play view it's just so much fun.
