H.P. Lovecraft in Text mode - Final push for a unique horror Kickstarter campaign

Over these past few days we've been getting reports of a new Kickstarter that takes the influential writing from the famed horror writer H.P Lovecraft, while telling a story in dark and rather creepy PETSCII C64 ASCII artwork. And sure enough we got the heads up today from QUESTRON of their in final days Kickstarter, that aims to bring you a Hardcover book with a gold foil cover (210 x 285 mm), from two of his more obscure writings, “Dagon” and “Nyarlathotep” with PETSCII.

If you want a rather special treat for Christmas and beyond, especially for horror fans, this could be the Hardcover book Kickstarter to back. As the writings of H.P Lovecraft and the art of Text mode (text characters rather than pixels) come together in untold horror that really fits the art of Raquel Meyers using the glorious hardware that is the C64. As the developer has said :

It seems that the insane descriptions from the Lovecraft’s stories were born to be depicted with the character set known as PETSCII (C64 ASCII) of that computer’s keyboard. H.P. Lovecraft in Text Mode is a Hardcover book with a gold foil cover (210 x 285 mm), from two of his more obscure writings, “Dagon” and “Nyarlathotep”. Our intention to create a wonderful book with 80 glossy pages of horrors, fears, and ASCII graphics.

Currently the Kickstarter has 6 days to go and with €5,765 pledged of a €6,500 goal they are very close to a Kickstarter success. But if that doesn't happen, you could be missing out on one of the most unique retro horror books, we've seen so far!
