Alter Ego - Popular ZX Spectrum game gets ported to the Amiga!

In 2011 RetroSouls released the rather popular game of ' Alter Ego ' for the ZX Spectrum, which was later ported over to the NES, PC and even Android. However there was a system that this game would've been just as good on, and that was the Amiga. Well today after an email by Solo, we've just learnt of the Amiga version by Wanted Team that has been released this month for free!

In Alter Ego you play as a hero who has a phantom twin, an alter ego and in whichever direction you move, your alter moves in a mirrored fashion. You must use this skill to pick up items and avoid enemies, but be careful if you swap too many times you could end up being trapped and the only way to re-start is by dying!

What sounds like a rather odd way to play a game, in this one it really works. But what astounded me was how many levels this game has, how smooth the game runs on the Amiga and how good it looks such as the platforms, enemy sprites and animation. Hell even the sound effects such as walking, dying or " no " as you try to mirror swap too many times is sublime.

What a fantastic release for the Amiga and could well be game of the year for 2016, let's hope this isn't the only game we see coming out of this calibre!
