Way back in 1984 Firebird released the Pirate style Arcade Puzzle game 'Booty' for the Amstrad CPC, C64, Commodore Plus/4, and ZX Spectrum. In this game you played as a cabin boy that has to steal treasure from his pirate masters, which meant avoiding other pirates, parrots and booby trapped treasure. The only way to grab this booty was finding the right keys to the right doors, and of course the final key to complete the game. If you remembered this rather nice game, you'll be pleased to know nate2squared has done a Pico-8 demake, which is also playable in your browser.
This demake is very similar to the classic of the 1980's, as you have to collect the keys to open certain doors, grab treasure, and avoid the baddies as well as the booby trapped treasure throughout the 20 cabins. What the demake does lack however is the in game music, which did appear in the Amstrad version and the C64 version, although Bootyful Demake is still regarded as a beta with features yet to be implemented.
