The Scorpion Engine - A fabulous creation tool for the Amiga reaches 2022.3 with improved AGA support!

As most of you are aware, there are different ways to create Amiga games, either through Amos, Blitz Basic, RedPill or through the rather lackluster Backbone. But one such game engine has become the highlight of nearly every new upcoming Amiga game, and that's Earok's amazing Scorpion Engine; a constantly updated piece of software that gives developers the tools to create graphically impressive games, running at decent frame rates even on the lowest spec'd Amigas.

Thankfully for those of you looking to create new Amiga games, or are currently developing a game such as Green Beret, Creeping Me Out Hex Night or Akumajou Dracula AGA might like this news story. As Earok has officially announced the release of Scorpion Engine 2022.3. As in his words "Scorpion Engine 2022.3 is now available; a new version which features not just custom splash screens for Patreon backers, but improved AGA support, including the "GothicVania" triple parallax demo, one click export to Win/Mac (FS-UAE), AmiBerry/A500 mini, Workbench and finally Improved code and animation editing".

  1. I've been looking at a number of in-progress games being developed with Scorpion for Amiga 500 & 1200 spec and this engine is remarkable. The results speak for themselves. I can't wait to see what new and impressive ideas grace the intrepid Amiga in the months ahead.
