Already Indie Retro News is on the case with the latest news, as here we have the latest project of Outrun for the Game Boy Colour by Rocketship Park. A game that was released in 1986 by Sega in the Arcades, with later ports to systems such as the Amstrad, Amiga and many others....Just not the Game Boy Colour! So to change all that here's Rocketship Park's latest project, which not only looks super cool, it runs and sounds almost like the original game...NICE :)

And here's the full details from the website. " The Game Boy never got a version of OutRun back in the 80s. During development of a recent Game Boy game (Hero GP) I wondered if I could fix that and what would it look like? This is the answer to that question. What we have here is a demo/prototype what if. You can play it right here on the page or download the ROM for an Emulator, a real Game Boy Color, or an Analogue Pocket, have fun"

ReplyDeleteIm Proprietor of Gameboy Advance !!!
So impressive for the GBC. Hopefully this gets fleshed out more.
ReplyDeleteNot bad, but the music is annoying. I almost always play with only SOUND EFFECTS. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI think the music was done deliberately in that loop to match the cuts of the "trailer", I'm sure the final release will have the full tracks. Or did you mean that you straight out don't like the OutRun soundtrack? Or don't like the Gameboy version of it? You madman! ;)
DeleteThat looks quite nice, great music remake too! I'm keeping an eye on this one.
