TetrISO - Tetris meets isometric puzzle strategy in this new C64 game by Roman Werner

Roman Werner has released TetrISO, a new isometric puzzle strategy game for the Commodore 64 that puts a clever dimensional twist on the classic falling-block mechanics seen in Tetris. Moving away from traditional flat grids, players must construct a tower on a 4x4 isometric platform using pieces that drop from the top of the screen. The main challenge comes from managing the 3D perspective; players can rotate the entire tower clockwise to spot hidden gaps and find the perfect placement for their next block. Complete layers disappear to reward points, allowing skilled players to chain consecutive clears together for high-scoring combos.

The game combines distinct spatial puzzles that changes the way you think about every move. Plan your placements, rotate the tower when you need a better view, and keep the pieces coming. Adding to the old-school atmosphere, TetrISO includes a custom SID chip adaptation of "L'amour est bleu" (Love is Blue), the famous instrumental track by André Popp and Paul Mauriat. By blending familiar tile-matching instincts with strategic 3D rotation, Werner delivers a unique, audio-rich experience that gives C64 owners a compelling reason to keep coming back for more.
