Columns - Game Gear Columns is coming to the Amiga

Another Amiga game to talk about this week, as if you loved playing SEGA’s classic puzzler called Columns, you'll pleased to know that Ceonello is working on bringing over the Game Gear version to the Commodore Amiga with the help of AI. Because the creator no longer owns a physical Amiga 500, development is relying on emulation, meaning the current work-in-progress version is limited to keyboard inputs.

Built entirely in C with the help of AI, this upcoming Amiga port replicates the original Game Gear version of the game as mentioned above. Currently however it features the game's authentic retro sprites, though the developer has expressed interest in eventually creating an upgraded, high-definition reskin. The open-source code and a playable alpha build have been shared publicly for the community to test and review.
