WinUAE 4.2.0 - Another feature packed Amiga Emulator release + new emulated hardware

After a number of betas through these last few months with inclusive notable changes, we have recently found out that Toni Wilen has released a brand new WinUAE version 4.2.0 with bug fixes, new emulated hardware and a huge amount of updates to take us through this month and beyond! Regarded as one of the best Amiga emulators and always being worked on by Toni, this release doesn't just have new emulated hardware such as Harms Professional 3000 and Pacific Peripherals Overdrive, but also new features including uaegfx and Picasso IV Overlay and custom ROM selections! WinUAE 4.0.1 - The best Amiga Emulator gets a bug fix update

In June of this year Toni Wilen announced through the EAB forums the latest version of his Amiga Emulator had reached a new build of ' WinUAE 4.0.0 ' ,which featured a number of updates such as Beam Racing Lagless VSync, Virtual multi monitor support and much much more. But it seems as if there were some issues that needed to be addressed as this highly regarded Amiga emulator is once again in our news feeds but this time not so much as a final build, but a bug fix update fixing the issues that appeared in WinUAE 4.0.0. WinUAE 4.0.0 beta - The first beta of a brand new Amiga emulator branch is announced

Yet again after lots of beta updates and the final of 3.6.0 in Jan and 3.6.1 in March, we have just been informed through one of our friends that Toni Wilen has launched a new beta branch for WinUAE version 4.0.0 with the release of Beta 1. This Amiga emulator has gone through many stages of development through the years and as always Toni Wilen always finds the time to either fix these bugs or add new features. After many months of beta updates with a ton of fixes and improvements, today is the day that Toni Wilen has released a brand new WinUAE version 3.4.0 with a brand new website. This is by far the best version of the Amiga emulator so far, as it features new graphics adaptors such as the ColorBurst. WinUAE 3.4.0 beta 17 - The latest Amiga emulator beta update features American Laser Game support

A rather sweet update article today for Amiga users, as the latest WinUAE beta release features a very decent addition indeed. In the latest WinUAE 3.4.0 beta 17, Toni Wilen has added American Laser Game support in light of the discussion thanks to Earok on the EAB forums. According to Earok one of the American Laser Disc games ' Mad Dog McGree ' was powered in an Arcade cabinet via an Amiga 500, along with a genlock and a laserdisc player. Now thanks to a long running debate, the first beta WinUAE has been released and actually has a American Laser Games configuration setting.

Candy Puzzle - CUBO CD32 Puzzle game makes an appearance on the Amiga CD32

Fresh off the press AmigaJay has announced the release of a rather rare Puzzle game, that is now playable on both original Amiga CD32's and via emulation. This game is called Candy Puzzle and is better known as a CUBO CD32 original, and was released by CD express in Milan way back in 1994. For those of you who don't know anything about the CUBO CD32, it was an arcade machine with CD32 internals hence this game not appearing on the home system, at least until now.

WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta 16 - Amiga Emulator beta update features new HDF options

Over this weekend Toni Wilen released the next Amiga emulator beta update as ' WinUAE 3.4.0 beta 16' which featured speed improvements gaining an extra 25% or more over previous beta's. Well this time Toni has taken the emulator that bit further and added a 'HDF create size option now accepts decimal numbers' as an option for those of you who like fiddling with HDF files. Basically as one person puts it "HDF Sizes work a treat making small custom HDF Games". But that's not that was added or improved, so make sure to read the changelog posted below.

WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta 15 - Amiga Emulator beta update features speed improvements

More good news for the Amiga as Toni Wilen is still hard at work on his Amiga Emulator WinUAE and has released ' WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta 15 ' in both 32bit and 64bit. You may wonder why we didn't mention beta 14 that's because from many of the reports on the EAB forums, it wasn't particularly speed optimized with older betas being faster. Now on to beta 15 and it looks as if Toni has improved it with one such user noting a " 25% improvement '. WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta 13 - End of week Amiga Emulator beta update!

It's a Sunday and it's a late evening, but that doesn't stop us from mentioning the latest WinUAE release of ' WinUAE 3.4.0 Beta 13 which was released over the weekend on the Amiga forums. Toni Wilen is still hard at work as always and this time he's been fixing a number of problems that have cropped up with one of them being RTL8019 9346 EEPROM emulation, which according to him caused random crashes. Usually we mention every version that has been released but it seems many different issues had cropped up and multiple beta's were released all in the space of one week.
