1869 - Trade on the high seas in this free Amiga-PC portable release!

Released in 1992/3 for the Amiga and developed by Max Design. 1869 is a sea trading/empire building game set in, you guessed it, 1869. It could almost be called the Patrician of the Amiga, as the game is very similar, in the fact that in both games you can trade from town to town, buy ships and become a rich trader. The graphics really suit the game and it's also fun to play although playing against another person was the more enjoyable. Thanks to The Company.PL 1869 is now available for your PC in a free portable edition.

X-Tended - Terran Conflict 2.0 Released

X-Tended - Terran Conflict, which is a complete overhaul of Egosoft's game, X³: Terran Conflict has just been released at version 2.0. This looks like a really awesome looking Space Strategy Simulator Trading Mod and I personally can't wait to try it out.

Elite : Dangerous - Space Sim ( kickstarter ) and Original, remakes article

I thought to myself tonight that it was time to write up a small article about Elite, the Elite remakes and the new Dangerous kickstarter project. With regards to my play time of Elite it was very brief as I was well into FOFT(Federation of Free Traders) which was a similar game of trading/battles in space and on the planet surface (Frontier: Elite II). Elite was originally on the BBC and Acorn Systems released in 1984 at which time I was 5yrs old, by two developers David Braben and Ian Bell.
