Mission2Mars - A space adventure by 8080 requiring a beast of an Amiga!

I was looking through the itch io website, and I came across a new adventure game called 'Mission2Mars' by 8080 for the Commodore Amiga. A text based adventure with some humor in deep space that was created using AmiBlitz3. Just be aware that if you want to try out this game on your Amiga however, you'll need AHI Installed, RTG 1280 x 720 Window/Fullscreen 24-bit, and a crazy minimum of CPU 300 MIPS. Pleiades 3D - A rather unique Commodore Amiga 1200 game by MikketX

A rather late hour Amiga announcement for you all, as we've recently been informed through Facebook, that a new game has been released for the Commodore Amiga 1200 called 'Pleiades 3D'. A game in which you must help a stranded girl called Alice, find her way back to Earth from the Pleiades star cluster. Year after year we usually go on about the latest C64 games and unreleased titles seeing the light of day for the very first time, well now it's the Atari 8-bits turn with ' Star Raiders II ' released for the first time today as a free holiday present from Aric Wilmunder. This is the unreleased, almost-finished sequel to Star Raiders for the Atari 8-bits, created and developed by him while working in the R&D lab of Atari coin-op.

Alite - Classic Amiga Elite gets an Android port!

Only just recently I was talking to a few friends about the original David Braben's 8-bit space combat trading simulator of Elite, and how we've seen a few fan based remakes appear such as Oolite. Yes we've had the modern eye candy release of Elite Dangerous, but now we have come to mention another fan based remake, but this time it's ' ALITE', which is based on the original Amiga version and ported over to the Android. Developed by Stardust as a free fan port of the classic, has been in development for over 2.4 years and is now available to download today.

Master of Orion: Conquer the Stars - Hit 4x Strategy classic gets a reboot!

To say I'm overjoyed right now over a game announcement is an understatement, as we've just learned of the recent news that ' Master of Orion '; the incredible 4x space strategy game from 1993 and released by Microprose, is getting a reboot titled ' Master of Orion : Conquer the Stars '. This time developed by WarGaming.net, will feature more modern graphics, a new orchestral score by MOO's original composer, as well as alien races with more personality!

In 1999, Violation Inc released one of the greatest space combat simulation games I have ever played, it was titled 'FreeSpace2 and was the sequel to Descent : FreeSpace - The Great War. It had incredible space battles, huge space ships, big laser beams, excellent sound effects and an impressive story to go with it. But through the years it has been ever improved upon with amazing detail, new spin off stories, more improvements and much more, thanks to the open source release of FS2 Open. The feature of today is 'Wings of Dawn' an anime-inspired space shooter which is also built on the FS2 Open engine.

Currently at version 415 and still in a very early alpha state, this remake is of a grand space strategy game originally released in the early 90's by Ian Bird. Although the game isn't yet playable, it does give you a glimpse of what the game is like and features production, research and team management. Bfernhout is constantly updating the game and hopes to have the final version out as soon as possible.

We've just been informed via EAB that the latest bfernhout remake release of Deuteros is now available to download. Currently at version 317 and still in a very early alpha state, this remake is of a grand space strategy game originally released in the early 90's by Ian Bird. Sequel to the original epic Millennium 2.2 and a very playable game for it's time, you can mine for resources on the planet and from asteroids, research new technology, build ships to colonize the stars and fight in mass space battles.
